Neto Vettorello is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist based in DublinIreland, the city that inspires him to reflect on urban, playful, introspective, and spiritual themes. He produces his work thinking about the relationships between cities, their habitats, and their connection with the mystical world. For him, “art is the way I express what I feel", using different techniques such as graffiti, painting, graphic design, and audiovisual techniques. After all these years as an artist developing letters for graffiti, he created a character that has an unmistakable face in the shape of a water drop. But it is not a sealed character. It unfolds in many characteristics and ways, and can sometimes be interpreted as reflections of how he sees life and the feelings and knowledge that it brings, or how he would like the world to become.
Sumary
My style has evolved over the years since 2001 when my brother and I started tagging the name "ASEW" on the streets. Initially, we developed letter forms in drop formats, which gradually transformed into more organic and fluid shapes. Eventually, my style became more abstract while still retaining the essence of drops in my paintings.
One significant influence on my style is the body paintings of African and indigenous peoples, reflecting their cultural roots. Additionally, I incorporate elements from graffiti, particularly in the way I paint the faces of my characters. The drop format is characterized by a fast and illegal painting style, using a fat cap to create a unique texture.
Another distinctive aspect of my style is the use of white eyes in my characters. This represents a connection to the spiritual realm and the pursuit of self-knowledge. By having the eyes face inward, they symbolize the search for what truly matters, transcending superficiality and emphasizing equality among all humans. Occasionally, I incorporate a third eye to represent a connection with other vibratory planes. I also prefer warm colors inspired by nature to contrast the coldness of the urban environment.
In summary, my style combines ancestral roots, the history of graffiti, and a touch of mysticism, self-knowledge, and equality.
The little character appearing repeatedly in my work was born in 2013 when I incorporated a face within the drop shape. Over time, I refined the character into a single-stroke form. I discovered the beauty and strength in simplicity, which is evident in both my artwork and my life today.

Respect (2022)
Mixed media
Dimensions: 80 x 60 x2 cm
Price: € 2.500,00
Concept
Respect, this simple word is used by many citizens who are on the margins of society and are what keeps them alive and belonging to their community, but who often need to use it to impose themselves on others, whether through force and/ or by other unconventional means.
That's what I portray in this work. a teenager who does not know about the whereabouts of his natural parents, he was raised by his uncles and adopted by drug trafficking, yet another victim of an unequal society and an invisible being for many, but he is a human being in search of being respected and accepted for the others, a soldier from the favela who puts his life at risk to achieve a better future.
