CHILI COOK-OFF RULES, ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, AND ENTRY FORM • Our location for this year’s event will be on the vacant lot north of the Great Southern Bank building. • Check in time for the contest begins at 7:30 a.m. You must check in prior to beginning any cooking. Check in requirements: Minimum of 5lbs. uncooked meat. • Contestants must provide all of their own cooking supplies - grills, tables, chairs, utensils and ingredients. Remember no electricity will be provided. • All preparations and cooking must be done at the cook site. Cooking requirements: Chili must reach and maintain a temperature of 140 degrees. Temperature will be checked prior to judging. • Judging will begin at 11:00 a.m. Chili will be judged on the following criteria: Aroma, Appearance (consistency and color), Taste and Aftertaste. Note: Contestants will be provided a bowl with a number attached. Bowls will be delivered to the judges table at 11:00 a.m. • The United Way Committee or United Way Agencies will sell the chili.
