Gallery to host a selected exhibition in celebration of their 50th anniversary. Their members have been invited to submit original prints that respond to the title 50:50. Examples of work considered include a print measuring 50cm or based on equal halves, a happy medium or a fifty percent chance.

Alex Yule: New Ashgate Gallery Award 15 M a y – 2 7 J u n e , F o y e r Alex draws inspiration from her surrounding environment, in particular her love of beach-combing rocky coastlines. Alex studied at both Sir John Cass and City Lit. Since starting her first collection in 2011 Alex has received a ‘Gold Award’ in the ‘Craft & Design Selected Awards 2014’ for Jewellery & Precious Metals and the New Ashgate Alex Yule, urchin rings

Deryn Relph: Maker in Focus Textiles and related crafts have always been an important part of Deryn’s life and she is influenced by her own experiences, having learned skills from her grandmothers and mother. Deryn identifies with their ‘make do and mend’ ethos as a sustainable design strategy. Deryn’s designs offer nostalgic happiness and her newest body of work explores sense of place, taking direct reference from geographical locations.

Thur 14 May, 6-8pm – all welcome Emma’s work chronicles the everchanging face of London; the built, rebuilt, remodelled and reused; Creating layers and broken surfaces, laid and over-laid in a constant cycle. Buildings are Emma’s vocabulary, they provide the impetus for her work, documenting and celebrating often undervalued and unappreciated spaces and structures. Emma commemorates the dilapidation of buildings; demolitions and new constructions. Emma completed her MA in ceramics and glass at Royal College of Art and has been selected for Crafts
