That’s how much home sales are up year-to-date in Baldwin Park. From January through June, 86 homes were sold in 2009, versus 45 during the same period in 2008. Buyers have jumped back into the market and are moving quickly to capitalize on historically low interest rates, first time homebuyer tax incentives, and some of the lowest home prices Orlando has seen in a decade. Baldwin Park is the most popular traditional neighborhood near downtown. During May and June, more buyers chose to purchase homes in Baldwin Park than in the much larger Winter Park or College Park neighborhoods. As a result of high demand, Baldwin Park’s inventory of 89 available homes is a new low for the neighborhood. Why are people moving to Baldwin Park?
