Artist Neil Pinkett is widely respected for his skill as a landscape painter, but takes a unique turn in this collection of works, towards the traditional genre of still life. Reflecting the New Craftsman Gallery’s long-standing engagement with contemporary ceramics, these twenty new paintings are inspired by the artist’s own collection of ceramic bowls, bottles and vases, many of which are made by potters working or showing in St Ives.
