Twenty years on from her very first exhibition of paintings, held at the New Craftsman Gallery, few contem- porary artists are as closely associated with the town of St Ives as Emma Jeffryes.The abundance of brightly coloured flowers in spring, the fresh coastal colours of early summer, the triangular patterns of rooftops against rich blue skies and the lively atmosphere of this famous seaside town are rendered with real affection in Emma’s distinctive, rainbow coloured works.
