For this much anticipated exhibition of new work, painter Neil Davies responds to the benevolent and malevolent forces of the far west’s uniquely powerful weather systems and their effect on the ever changing beauty of the Cornish landscape. In a palette of deep colours, Davies paints the endless flux of Penwith’s cliffs, hedgerows and heathland, following the seasons as wild flowers, gorse, heather and bracken come and go and ocean colours change from pale silver to deep purple under ominous skies.
