2019 Brattleboro Winter Carnival Dedication The Brattleboro Winter Carnival has been a tradition in town now for 63 years. It has grown over the years to the current 9 days of planned events. Many people look forward to this week, plan out what they are going to do E\ WKH VFKRRO Ă \HU RXU ZHEVLWH DQG )DFHERRN page or by our program that is available in The Brattleboro Reformer. The planning of carnival starts in October. We have twice-monthly meetings until January, and then weekly -- working on the week ‘s events, and planning the information needed for all the publications as stated. This happens because of a group of dedicated volunteers who feel it’s important to have this
town tradition continue. I joined the board 17 years ago looking to help pass the winter along. What I got was just that and also great lifelong friendships. I have been able to go to any one of the board’s members and ask for help, for their opinions and I have always received the support I needed. It’s been fun and it’s been work. We all do our part in planning out everything that needs to happen in order to be able to give you the 9 days of entertainment for every age presented to you in this program. When it became time to choose to whom this year’s dedication of the program, it was an easy choice. How could I pick one per-
son when we all work so hard! It is with my pleasure to dedicate the 2019 BWC program to the Winter Carnival board. Kathy Banford, Tammy Brown, Nancy Doyle, Jamie Lynn Howard, Kim Isaacsen, Lisa Johnson, Belinda Lashway, Carol Lolatte, Lynn Patno and Wayne Warwick. Many hands make light work, if anyone would like to be on our board and help in anyway, please let us know. Rosemary Harris 2019 Brattleboro Winter Carnival President
