It’s been a long time coming but now that it’s finally here it seems unreal. This is my 88th Into The Woods. Can you believe it? Doesn’t feel like I have been doing it for that long (of course in the big scheme of things 48 years coming to work every day) it’s a drop in the bucket. But somehow writing this column each week brings more meaning to the experience. Something of myself invested - other than my time put in running the SG. I have enjoyed the weekly forays into telling you about the simple pleasures and experiences in my life. Now that I am old (er) my perspective has changed. A lot. I’ve learned to slow it down and to appreciate the experience rather than see how fast I can get through it or get it done. Being a double Aries makes that quite a challenge (for those of you who are astrologically inclined). And it is something that I need to be very conscious of - every day. Now, I have the opportunity to change my life, to create a new me - free of any responsibility or obligation. In some sense it’s scary, but only because it’s unfamiliar territory. Perspective. Now I can free my mind and allow those dreams that have been hidden away behind duty to burst forth and take wing. Thank you all for letting me share a little snippet of my life.
