Proper buffering and design standards can help ensure business remains healthy and residential property values remain stable, while encouraging concentration of development in the core areas.”

HOW? 1. Return the “buffer zone” to 500 feet as recommended by MA Cannabis Control Commission. Also, expand protections; not just for schools but other facilities where children congregate. 2. Prevent marijuana establishments from locating in residential districts/ areas (see Zoning Bylaws Table of Uses). 3. Protect neighborhoods from nuisances and dangers such as odors, smoke, dust, glare and other adverse impacts.
