Our Great Location Little Bench and Bench Cottage are situated in the village of Pennington on the outskirts of Lymington and accessed by a private drive beside Our Bench, 9 Lodge Road. The village shops are only five minutes away, including a convenience store with post office, chemist, fish and chip shop, butcher and two pubs. The cottages back on to a sports field where the occasional football and cricket matches are held. The Georgian yachting town of Lymington is only a twenty minute walk away or five minutes by car. The High Street is full of shops for you to browse and leads down to the Quay and Marinas. A lively market is held every Saturday all through the year. The ferry leaves from Lymington to the Isle of Wight where a wonderful day can be had exploring the Island. Two miles from your holiday home is the beautiful New Forest National Park, where ponies wander through villages, cream teas can be tasted and many attractions visited. Take a stroll through the enclosures and see if you can spot a New Forest deer. Alternatively, spend a day at the beach, or visit historic Portsmouth, Salisbury or Stonehenge.

Turn off the A337 in Pennington, just west of Lymington at a parade of shops (signposted Pennington village). This is South Street: continue along it, passing the village shops and you’ll see a church on your left - St Mark's. Take the second turning on the right past the church, opposite the Common (Lodge Road), signposted Pennington Recreation Ground. The street sign for Lodge Road cannot be seen until you turn into the road. Little Bench and Bench Cottage are to the rear of Our Bench 9 Lodge Road on the right hand side.
