CELEBRITY GUEST HOST: MATT ISEMAN

ew York is a city of neighborhoods, but as we know all too well, not all neighborhoods are created equal. At New Heights, we believe that a child’s zip code should not be indicative of his or her opportunities. No one’s future should be limited based on their street address. That’s why for over a decade New Heights has been delivering a combination of academic and athletic programs and services designed to unlock the potential of promising inner-city youth and set them on a path for lifelong success. With your support, we are changing lives and changing the game. Welcome to The GameChangers Ball. New Heights was founded in 2005 with the belief that sports (for us basketball) when provided in a safe, structured and supportive environment, can have a huge impact on a young person’s educational, leadership and personal development. And that’s exactly what our program has accomplished, from East Harlem to the Bronx to Brooklyn. Our youth stay in school, graduate on time, attend and complete college - as evidenced by our 100% high school graduation rate, 98% college matriculation rate and 75% college graduation rate since our inception. Tonight we are here to celebrate New Heights’ student-athletes and their families, and the men and women who are our biggest champions. A very special thanks to our dedicated event cochairs, Ron Trichon and Ty Wallach, whose leadership helped make tonight possible. The evening will be filled with inspiring stories that demonstrate the profound effect that sports-based youth development can have. We want to express our sincere thanks to you for being here. By joining us and supporting this event, you have become a GameChanger. In thanks,

2017 AAU 6TH GRADE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM New Heights Boys Team

Our Future GameChangers Coached by former NBA player, Cincinnati Bearcat and legendary Rice High School star Kenny Satterfield, the New Heights 6th grade team had a season to remember in 2016-17. Having played together since they were in 4th grade, this group has bonded through hours of grueling practices, thousands of sprints, long van rides on the road and hundreds of games. That camaraderie and love for each other was on full display July 18-22 in Hampton, VA at the 12-Under AAU National Championships. After going 3-0 in their pool, the team won four straight elimination games, including the title game against defending national champion Team Takeover, 63-39. The championship was a total team effort and was the culmination of three years of hard work and dedication on the basketball court and in the classroom. New Heights is proud to honor this amazing group of young men and their coaches. 6th Grade AAU National Champions Starting Bottom Left: Izaiah “Izzy” Millan, Guard; Donnell Campbell, Forward; Jaiden Williams, Forward.
