In fact, a recent Vacasa.com survey of the top 10 places to buy a waterfront home uncovered two popular North Carolina destinations - Carolla, which ranked second, and Hatteras Island, at number seven. Travel to North Carolina vacation destinations such as these are hitting calendars as summer kicks into
full gear. Whether you are interested in laying on the beach all day or hiking up mountains or something else entirely, there is no shortage of options across the region whether that be to a vacation rental or second home.
