Day One Begin with a direct flight to Amsterdam where you’ll meet your tour manager and transfer to your four-star hotel in the attractive Eindhoven area. You have the evening free to relax. Day Two After a late breakfast and the morning free, you travel by coach to Maastricht arriving early afternoon. Once in town, you are free to shop and sightsee at leisure in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the Netherlands with its spectacular shops and cafés. You will also have an opportunity to visit Maastricht Christmas Market on the Vrijthof Square. In the evening take your seat at the indoor MECC, transformed into a ‘Winter Palace’ for the highlight of your break – André Rieu & his Johann Strauss Orchestra, Choir, Soloists and Special Guests in their Christmas concert. The coach will return you to the hotel after the performance, arriving at about 1am. D ay Three After a relaxed morning, today, you’ll cross the border into Germany for a visit to Aachen. Here you’ll discover one of Germany’s oldest and most traditional markets laid out in the streets and squares around the city’s cathedral and town hall. Keep warm with a mug of gluhwein, and treat yourself to the traditional festive flavours of gingerbread and marzipan bread as you wander the bustling market stalls. Day Four Transfer back to the airport for your flight home, taking back a host of memories from this special break to André Rieu’s hometown concert. Your Hotel You will stay in a good quality four-star standard hotel in the Eindhoven area or it’s outskirts in the Netherlands. All bedrooms have private facilities, hairdryer and TV. All the hotels have good bars and restaurants and as a guest of Newmarket you are assured of a warm welcome (see page 10 for more hotel information).
