In the company of your tour manager you’ll visit the sacred hill-top monastery of Montserrat, Catalonia’s spiritual symbol, which is accessible by winding road, rack railway or cable car. A delightful leisurely escorted drive through the rolling foothills – and some higher passes – of the Catalan Pyrenees is also included. Crossing the border into France you’ll visit famously sunny FontRomeu-Oreillo, the walled town of Villefranche de Conflent and Perpignan. There’s plenty of time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and surroundings or take an optional excursion to discover historic walled Girona with an included guided walking tour which introduces this typically Catalan city, before some free time for exploring.
