Lindau on Lake Constance

Savour the delights of a holiday in the wonderful surroundings of the Tyrolean Alps, enjoying the pristine air, green pastures and snow-capped peaks of a very special corner of the world. Rest and relax in a picture-book village, where you’ll enjoy traditional, warm Tyrolean hospitality, and journey out to take in some of the region’s most sparkling jewels.

Head first to nearby St Anton, with its flower-decked streets, where you’ll have time to enjoy a coffee should you wish. You’ll then journey on to beautiful Lake Constance, bordering Austria, Switzerland and Germany, and where the beautiful island town of Lindau is the gateway to Bavaria. Another day sees you take in Imperial Innsbruck, the elegant Tyrolean capital, with its old town and famous Maria-Theresien-Strasse framed against its mountain backdrop, and where a stop for coffee and cake in one of countless konditoreien (pastry shops) is a must. A last hugely enjoyable included tour heads into Bavaria to view the extraordinary turrets and towers of ‘Mad’ King Ludwig’s famous castle at Neuschwanstein (entrance payable locally). With plenty of time to enjoy the delights of Flirsch and neighbouring St Anton, and opportunities to join optional tours to the Principality of Liechtenstein, medieval Feldkirch, and to idyllic Seefeld, this is a picture-book-perfect Alpine holiday.
