Sidewalk Chalk Contest Thursday, July 27, 10am Bank of the West is proud to host the Toledo Summer Festival Sidewalk Chalk Contest. All ages are encouraged to participate and show off your artistic abilities. Prizes will be awarded. You may bring your own chalk or kid’s chalk will be available for free. Artistic Chalk will be available for sale. Sign in at Bank of the West on Main Street at 10:00am. After receiving your chalk and space assignment, you may begin with your masterpiece. You have until 3:00pm to finish. Judging will begin at that time. Prizes will be awarded at 6:30pm at the Queen’s Coronation on Memorial Football Field.

Kids' Parade Friday, July 28, 6pm Main Street Attention Kids 1 through 12: Join us in the parade on Friday, July 28th at 5:40pm at Toledo Library, (under 7 need to be accompanied by an adult). Ride your bikes or your favorite toy or walk your dog from the library to the end of main street. Please wear your brightly colored shirts and or dresses and join in on the fun of the festival theme: HAPPY DAYS! Let`s make this a GREAT parade for the beginning of our fun-filled “HAPPY DAYS” weekend! Hope to see you there – treats for participants at the end of Main Street.

Lip Sync and Karaoke Friday, July 28, 7pm

All kids 16 and younger must have signed permission slip from their parent or guardian to win a prize. New to 2017: we are having both Karaoke and Lip Sync. The Lip Sync is for kiddos 11 and younger and the Karaoke is for kids, teens and adults, anyone 11 and older. Both competitions will be held on Friday night beginning with Lip Sync from 7-8p and following with Karaoke from 8-10. Lip Sync sign ups will start at 6 and is limited to the first 20 kids. Karaoke sign ups begin at 7pm. Mainstream Music will provide music with JG providing an abundance of music to select from. If you prefer to bring your own music, it must be original karaoke music. You may not use props or instruments in your performance. The Lip Sync will be audience-judged and the Karaoke will have a panel Lip Sync: 1st $75 2nd $50 3rd $25 6 Toledo Summer Festival 2017

of judges. Judge’s decisions are final and cannot be challenged. All contestants must sign a sworn statement that they have not been paid to sing anywhere and that they are a true amateur. Judging Elements for Karaoke Only All contestants will be judged on 5 elements. Each element is worth 10 points with a total of 50 possible. Those elements are: Stage Presence, Command of the Audience, Confidence, Costume/Dress, and Overall Audience Appeal. So pick a song that grabs the audience, that you're confidant singing, you can really dress up to, and which will get a great response from the audience. Most of all, Have Fun!

5K Run/Walk Saturday July 29, 2017 9am Main Festival Gate Come join us to walk/run off the calories you'll add while indulging at the Toledo Summer Festival. This event will begin at the main festival gate (between Memorial Football Field and Les Schwab). This year's route is considered to be easy, with no hills. You will begin at the main gate, walk/run down Butler Bridge Road then cross over to East Slope Road and walk/run through the park to 10th and then head over to Sturdevant Road and toward Toledo Elementary. When you arrive at the school, you will turn around and retrace your steps back to the starting point. The cost is $10 for Adults and $5 for Kids and $25 for Family (Dad, Mom, and Kids). There will be prizes for Best Dressed, Best of Theme, Youngest, Oldest, first person who comes back and is able to sing the theme song from Happy Days and Best Smile. All proceeds will be donated to the Toledo Summer Festival Fireworks.

Logging Show / Kids' Logging Show Saturday, July 29, 3pm Adult Event - Saturday July 29th Registration 2PM — Show Starts at 3PM Amateur competitors only! Cost to enter is $3 per event or $30 enters you in ALL! Events: Axe Throw, Obstacle Pole, Choker Setting, Hook Tender, Double Buck, Jack 'n Jill, Steeple Chase, 4-Man Relay, Block Toss, 5-cube Saw, 6-cube Saw and new this year, BOUNTY LOG! Kid's Events: Late to Work, Timber Faller's Race, Hook Tender's Race, Choker Setting and especially for the youngest participants, Log Roll. This event is sponsored by the Toledo Elks Lodge.
