Dave Black, Patti Katz Black open Blue Heron Supper Club This week’s featured establishment is Blue Heron Supper Club and Lounge located at Wild Eagle Lodge in Eagle River. Owners Dave Black and Patti Katz Black have more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant and entertainment businesses. The Blacks previously owned Nero’s in Eagle River and now, with Wild Eagle, offer some of the previous favorite dishes blended with new offerings. The Blue Heron, which features live piano bar music, caters to a variety of diners. “This is the perfect blend of elegance and casual,” said Linda Kennedy of Northwoods Travel. “People can dress up for a date or dress casual.” Now situated in a resort, the Blacks’ new venture aims to accommodate any group that comes into Blue Heron, from woodsy couture to snowmobile bibs. The dining room was arranged to create a cozy atmosphere and features deep-blue decor and a fireplace. The bar area has a lower and upper 40-seat lounge area allowing customers to have cocktails and appetizers while being serenaded by piano music. Blue Heron offers an array of wines, and a martini list. The menu contains a variety of offerings with the goal of encompassing a wide range of tastes. Blue Heron’s menu includes steaks, unique-cut pork steaks, fresh fish entrées, seafood dishes, and pasta and chicken entrées such as lemon-garlic chicken and chicken piccata. The Italian dishes,
