2 Nevada HumaNe Society duck Race & FeStival
Welcome Thank you so much for joining us at the 9th annual Duck Race & Festival – and for supporting homeless pets at Nevada Humane Society! When I transitioned from the Board of Directors of Nevada Humane Society to its new Chief Executive Officer last year, one of my goals was to promote our organization and its facilities as a community hub. The magic that happens at our shelters in Reno and Carson City goes well beyond merely creating a space where animal lovers can adopt a furry friend. It is a space where one may learn, relax, meet passionate and engaging people, or simply witness the unconditional love that pets have to offer. We invite all of you to visit, to hang out, to say hello, to smile.

Our entire team, including volunteers, staff and Board members, work very hard and donate countless hours of their time to further the Nevada Humane Society mission: to care for pets, find them homes and save lives. To achieve our mission, we create and nurture a community connection with all the wonderful people and organizations who derive satisfaction from making a difference in the lives of animals. Without the involvement, generosity, and belief of our broader community, Nevada Humane Society would not exist. Although Northern Nevada has experienced dramatic change in the last half century, one constant is the strength of our inspired community. Our community has always voiced its support for the important role animals play in our lives, but that voice is growing louder. Each and every day, Nevada Humane Society treats animal lives as precious and we will continue to help make Nevada Humane Society a model organization for animal welfare and lead Nevada toward a statewide no-kill designation. Thank you for being an important part of our community and for your generous support of Nevada Humane Society. Greg Hall Chief Executive Officer Nevada Humane Society
