This year, you can vote for the People’s Choice award online from any smartphone, tablet or computer! Go to www. nuggetribcookoff.com and click on Vote Here. Voting begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 28th, and closes on Sunday, September 1st at 9:00 pm. You may vote once per day, with a valid email address. There is also an iPad voting station available at the Rib Cook Off merchandise booth and the box office inside the Nugget. Winners will be announced Monday, September 2nd at 2:00 pm on the Plaza Stage.

Desperado’s BBQ & Rib Co. is also known by their famous slogan, “Lick My Ribs.” They serve delicious beef and pork ribs, greens, mac & cheese and much more. Their meat and sauce is gluten-free. Desperado’s won 1st Place in the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off in 2014.

Their competitive barbecue team has won 1st place trophies in 26 states.

They won 1st in 2014, 5th 2013, 1st 2009, 2nd 2007, 3rd 2005, 3rd 1997. They were the 1st People’s Choice winner in 2004.
