TITLE
• Color has the closest correspondence to pleasant/unpleasant, like/dislike, satisfying/frustrating, relaxing/tense and beautiful/ugly. • Red chroma shift continues to be a good indicator of preference. • Sources with lower CRI can be preferred. High levels of GAI do not ensure high ratings of naturalness. Red was the color that most heavily influenced decisions.
• Subjects preferred cool white (4000°k) in a malaysian school and felt it was the most comfortable for an extended period of time. No significant differences in computer/paper based tasks. • 4500°k was rated most pleasant, 3500°k was rated the most colorful and brightest. 6500°K was rated least pleasant and colorful and 2800°k was rated the least bright. • 2500°k was consistently rated low with 4500°k was consistently rated high. Preference is associated with saturation.
