Art Show Winners Showcase Local Talent
“People’s Choice” - Bernadette Mueller “Croton Fantasy”
Submitted by Katherine Pruschen The Kings Point Art League hosted its 2014 Annual Art Show, “Palette of Dreams,” on February 25th and 26th, with a total of 170 paintings entered in Watercolor, Oil & Acrylics, Graphics, Mixed Media, and a new category, Small World. Ribbons were awarded as follows: “Best of Show” - Mary Chabot “Symphony” “People’s Choice” - Bernadette Mueller “Croton Fantasy” First place ribbons went to Mary Ann Meeker, Yoshihiro Koseki, Mary Chabot, Pat Curtis, Arlene Egert, Carol Pasco, Ellamarie Carr, Lynda G. R.C.M.A. Artists Join KPAL For An Australian Adventure
Submitted by Cynthia Wortmann The theme of this year’s Kings Point Art League Annual Art Show was “Palette of Dreams,” the art of the Aborigines. The middle school students at Redlands Christian Migrant Association Leadership
Academy love learning about other people and their cultures. So the Art League invited the young people to create their own version of Aborigine art to enhance the venue for their art show on February 25th and 26th. Continued on Page 3

KPAL Honors Artist of the Month
Bonnie Murphy has been named the KPAL Artist of the Month for April 2014. Bonnie was born in Troy, New York. She is the mother of four children and stepmother of three. Bonnie also has twelve grandchildren whom she adores.
She worked as a TA in Schodack Central Schools for seventeen years. In 2009, Bonnie and her husband, Tom, moved to Kings Point. She enjoys being a volunteer on the Emergency Squad. In her spare Continued on Page 3
SCC Photo Club Announces March Winners Winners have been announced in the March competition of the Sun City Center Photo Club. Awards were given by professional judge Jack Winberg. In the Color Print category, at the Masters level, Patt Sulzberger received a gold for “Young Camel Herder.” Silvers were awarded to Rolf Sulzberger for “Reverence at the Western Wall” and “Desert Heat,” to Robert Winch for “Bluebirds at Home” and to Patt Sulzberger for “Talking to God.” At the Advanced level, golds were awarded to Matt Batt for “Queen of the Jungle,” to Jackie Hanson for “The Altar Boy” and to Marino Scheller for “Bird Watcher.” Marion Scheller also received a silver for “Begonia.” At Level 2, golds were awarded to Gina Hebert
