Sunday, May 15, 2:30 p.m. – “The Joy of Jazz” Concert T h e S a r a s o t a Ja z z Projec t, a professional orchestra featuring some of Florida’s top jazz soloists, will present a two-hour concert at the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd. Hear swing, ballads, be-bop, vocals, classics and familiar tunes set to new and exciting jazz band arrangements. $10 tickets are on sale at the CA office, 1010 N. Pebble Beach Blvd. between 9 a.m. and noon, Mon-Fri. Concert coordinator: Judy Schings 813-642-2001 or email judy48312@aol.com. Tuesday, May 17, 4 – 6 p.m. – Del Webb’s Birthday Party Jo i n t h e f u n a t a birthday party for Sun City Center’s founder, Del Webb, who was born May 17, 1899. There will be a dedication of the Old Town Hall building and free birthday cake for everyone at the Community A s s o c i a t i o n’s C e n t r a l Campus, 1010 N. Pebble Beach Blvd.(bandstand area). The 50th Anniversary flags are posted all over the Central Campus and the cake is erected near the bandstand. and Par for the Chorus will provide entertainment. By John Bowker There will be parking spaces for golf carts about the same as for FunFest, but really nothing much for automobiles on the Central Campus. So park your car in the huge parking lot at Community Hall (1910 South Pebble Beach Blvd). A bus will depart from Community Hall at 12 noon and will continue to make runs from there to Old Town Hall next to the festivities until 1:15. Return bus rides will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. from Old Town Hall to Community Hall.

Notice! All CA Central Campus facilities will be closed all day on May 1 for the 50th Anniversary Parade. This includes the Del Webb

Fitness Center and the swimming pools.
