Rods at the Ready By Sandra CLARK RODS at The Ready. Extend A Cup Fishing Tournament casts off this Friday 21 February through to Sunday 23 February. Held in the idyllic bushland setting at Myall River Camp, Mungo Brush Road, Hawks Nest with grassy unpowered sites, plenty of shade with local wildlife: dolphins, wallabies, pelicans, mud crabs, possums, sea turtles and a spectacular array of birds it is surely the place to be this weekend. Cheryl Cairns from Myall River Camp told News Of The Area, " Extend A Cup’s purpose is to have an enjoyable weekend and raise funds for a charity, it is completely not for profit, at the same time it involves a fishing competition, raffles and fun auctions." Fishing Award Categories include Land Based, Boat Outside, Boat Inside and Overall Champion Angler. After a fun filled, family orientated fishing day Saturday includes the Trophy Presentation, Live Entertainment with the all-important Raffle Draw and Auction starting at 2.00pm. For more information on how you can get involved, have some fun while supporting seriously ill children and their families, proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern NSW (RMHC NNSW) contact Hope or Peter on 02 9736 3344.
