Game Friendzy follows the most up-to-date New Jersey guidelines concerning Covid measures, including masking. Food and drink, except for water, are not permitted. f you have ever personally experienced the healing and, or, inspirational power of music, then I’m sure you can relate to this Louis Armstrong quote. Looking back on my own life, I have always found myself leaning into my favorite songs to set the mood. Music’s ability to calm me down or fire me up was one of the most dependable elixirs I’ve ever employed to make things happen in my life. Some say this is in you or it’s not and can’t be learned. To those who feel this way I would challenge them to search their soul for a time when hearing a certain song immediately summoned a happy memory or had them, unknowingly, whistling, humming or dancing along with a fresh smile on their face. It’s just that simple. It moves all of us to different degrees and its influence is omnipresent. Have you ever seen a toddler, barely walking, start to bounce and dance to music? Where does that come from? It’s nothing they’ve been taught yet. It’s hard wired into our beings and begins resonating within us be-
fore we are old enough to even understand what’s happening. Growing up in Philadelphia during the early 1960’s my parents introduced me to the music they had grown up with, like the great jazz standards by Frank Sinatra, et al. All while the Beatles began their American invasion and the Jackson 5 were busting out the Motown sound to a whole new generation. I was exposed to just about everything from jazz to classical to popular music. My dad had a particular love of Cuban jazz which awakened in me a love for anything with a Latin influenced groove. Hopefully, having read this, you can tell that I have a deep passion for music. Which brings me to my next point. I bring that same level of passion to my career as a South Jersey real estate agent.
