We are excited about our new partnership with Standing Ovations Theater Company. Full productions of Broadway musicals are produced in our theater camps and presented on stage at various venues. This summer featured Aladdin, Newsies Jr, and Broadway Jr Review. New and exciting musicals will be featured this upcoming season. The Volunteers for PAWS Farm, Inc. is holding its 2nd special fundraising event to benefit PAWS Farm of Mt. Laurel. This event promises to be a great day of fun filled with fall-themed activities for the children, farm animals, animal demonstrations, music, food truck, craft vendors and, of course, the Cornhole Tournament! The Fall Festival is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PAWS Farm, 1105 Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Rd. in Mt. Laurel. The Cornhole Tournament will be held from 1-3 p.m. The Volunteers for PAWS Farm, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization formed in 2021 with the mission of restoring PAWS Farm back to its former glory. The group is currently working with Mt. Laurel Township to identify a third-party partner to run the operations and finances of PAWS Farm. In the meantime, with limited funding and a team of volunteers, the organization has worked tirelessly to clean up the buildings and grounds of the farm during the past year. A successful fundraising event, A Peek at PAWS Farm, was held this past June. Proceeds from this event helped enable PAWS Farm to be open on weekends this summer and remain open through September 4th. The first time I ever went to a tournament, it was the Washington, DC American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Nationals. I went to take the American Bridge Teachers Certification course and test - yes, I got certified. Entering the tournament site was amazing. Everywhere I looked there were people playing bridge, discussing hands, creating partnership agreements, and tournament rooms filled with competitors from all over the world. It was invigorating and inspiring. Now, years later, I’m excited to continue to be part of this great game and am happy to announce that Game Friendzy will be hosting the Philadelphia Contract Bridge Association (PCBA) tournament on Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2, 2022!
