No Bull Mattress & More
No Bull Mattress & More has the prices you are looking for right in time for Spring. They have something for everyone. Saving every customer 55 to 80 percent every minute of every day in a no haggle, no hassle, no pressure environment.
No Bull Mattress & More truly is the little guy the big guys hope you don’t find. That is their motto, and there may not be a more fitting one for any business anywhere. Located in a little warehouse next to Dunkin’ Donuts at 2060 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, take one step inside the front door and you will instantly realize it is unlike any mattress store you have ever been in.
Carole Cutry is the owner and operator with family employees. With virtually no paid advertising, and operating out of a warehouse rather than a big expensive showroom, she simply does not have the overhead that all
the others have and can therefore hit lower price points.
Not only has she taken all of the overhead out of buying a mattress, she also eliminated the deceptive advertising, phony sales and high pressure sales tactics that are unfortunately all too common nowadays.
“My goal is for my customers to have fun buying a mattress,” Cutry says. “And if they’re able to come here and find lower prices than any other place, and not have to haggle for those prices, that is a fun buying experience. I want every person that walks out of here to have a smile on their face. We want to be a breath of fresh air in the marketplace.”
No Bull Mattress & More can be found at 2060 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, and can be reached at (856) 751-1371 or www. nobullmattress.com Call or stop in. Open Mon – Fri 10-5pm, Sat 11430pm, and Sun 12-4pm.
American Cancer Society Relay for Life
Mark your calendar for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Marlton at Memorial Sports Complex, M2 Field 1040 Tuckerton Road. The family-friendly event will take place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Relay for Life raises funds for the fight against cancer. More than a walk, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life brings together passionate supporters who embody the American Cancer Society mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
Participants celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change.
Cancer survivors are the guests of honor. They along with their caregivers will be featured at the
opening ceremonies, in Survivor Lap around the track, and with a complimentary lunch reception. This year the survivor lunch will be held in the Blue Barn at noon. Survivors, caregivers, and all participants can register for the event at www.RelayForLife.org/ MarltonNJ.
Throughout the event, participants walk around the track to raise money for cancer. This year’s theme is “Relaying Through the Decades” to symbolize how far we have come over the years. Teams are encouraged to pick a decade and decorate their designated team area/ campsites.
In addition, there will be activities for all ages. Activities include Kickboxing, Zumba, Yoga, parade of teams, themed laps, and more. A special highlight is
the Luminaria candlelight ceremony to honor survivors and to remember those lost to cancer. Luminaria candles line the track with names and pictures of loved ones. A full schedule of activities will be posted closer to the event at RelayforLife.org/MarltonNJ. Fighting cancer takes many things like research, free rides to chemo and lodging near hospitals, and our 24/7 helpline. But we can’t do any of that without you. Join Relay For Life, the largest, most inspiring, and supportive cancer fundraising event on the planet. Relay for Life is open to anyone who wants to participate. To find out more about Relay for Life, to register a team or to purchase a luminaria, please visit www.RelayForLife.org/MarltonNJ, or email monica.nammour@ cancer.org.
Tips From South Jersey Window Tinting
Installing films on the interior windows of your home may not be at the top of your home-makeover “to-do” list, but South Jersey Window Tinting has several good reasons why homeowners should consider this a priority. South Jersey Window Tinting believes in, “Block the Sun, Not the View” concept.
As one of the area’s largest contractors of window films, South Jersey Window Tinting has more than three decades of experience and knowledge in the importance of Window Film. Here are some tips why window tinting is essential:
Why should people seriously consider investing in window tinting for their home?
“For heat, glare, fading of flooring, furniture, paintings, wallpaper, etc. We also offer safety film to protect from glass breakage and intruders”.
How does putting film on the windows reduce energy costs?
“By installing film, you are not allowing 100% of the cold air to penetrate through the glass
surface, reducing heating costs. What does come through during the winter is trapped, which keeps the heat inside your home”.
Talk a little bit about how your product provides protection from the sun?
“This is the latest, nanotechnology film that is applied to the interior of the existing glass, which insulates homes both summer and winter. It protects you and your home from harmful UV rays”.
How much does it cost?
“Pricing is job specific. Call or email us to receive a FREE estimate. We run several pricing incentives throughout the year...We have one going on now!”
What’s involved in this installation?
“Jobs vary from one to the next. Our experienced installers will go over everything with you from start to finish”.
With most people spending more time at home, dealing with excessive glare and the need for privacy has become a priority.

Viking Casual Furniture
Since 1955, Viking Casual Furniture has been Delaware Valley’s premier source of quality patio furniture, dinettes, wicker furniture, mattresses, bars and barstools. Always prepared for the latest trends, Viking is ready to update your backyard this spring with 2023’s most in-demand outdoor furniture and accessories. Last year’s trends saw intimate and cozy backyard areas furnished with conversation fire pits. This year, those spaces are growing larger and becoming outdoor rooms. Complete with sectional sofas surrounding fire pits, these rooms are tied together with complementing weatherproof rugs and throw pillows.
Dining al fresco will once again remain a standard favorite, which means comfortable yet functional tables and chairs within close proximity to the BBQ grill are a must.
Companies such as North Cape, DWL Garden Furniture, Telescope Casual, Kingsley Bate and Tropitone (all lines carried by Viking) are filling the demand for all your outdoor furniture needs by providing a variety of
styles that are durable, weather-resistant, comfortable and casual.
North Cape specializes in high-quality all-weather wicker furniture with thick cushioning in a full spectrum of colors. DWL Garden Furniture is famous for its classic lines and durable cast-aluminum frames. And Tropitone brings you sleek styles with plush seating in a contemporary look. If you feel you’re fully furnished, you can still freshen up your outdoor spaces with current trending colors.
The bold, bright tones from 2022 are being replaced this year with softer, slightly muted colors. Buttery hues are supplementing lemon yellow, lime green is being taken over by avocado, and those brilliant reds are tempered down into rust or gray tones. All furniture from Viking comes fully assembled and they offer hassle-free delivery throughout the Midlantic Region, including down the shore. As an added bonus, if you hurry in now, you’ll be able to take advantage of some special pre-season pricing. Visit us at 123 E. Main St. in Maple Shade.
JB Bakery, where everything is always Just Baked, and people are always smiling
JB Bakery began as a bagel and bread shop in 1952. Over time, ownership passed from family to family, and the product line increased. Fifteen years ago, Burlington native Stephen Simon purchased JB and made it what it is today: a local landmark and dessert lover’s paradise that is regularly voted one of Burlington County’s best bakeries.
Originally, JB stood for “John’s Burlington Bakery”, the bakery’s founders, Mr. Simon sees it as “Always Just Baked” because it operates 24 hours a day to produce fresh-baked products. At JB, professional bakers and pastry chefs employ traditional methods to perfect the art of dessert making. They use scratch mixes and high-quality ingredients free of preservatives and imitation flavors, with the human element involved from creation to consumption. The bakery offers hard-to-find specialties from all over the world,
holiday delicacies, seasonal specials, fresh bread and rolls, a coffee bar, and exceptional service. The chefs design custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Sweet 16s, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, holidays, reunions, and many other occasions; by establishing relationships with customers and listening to their ideas, JB’s all-star staff turns cake dreams into reality.
Through the years, JB has become a Burlington County landmark. It is annually featured in the local news, and people visit from out-of-state to tour the facility and taste the sweets. Guests cherish walking in and experiencing the rich aroma that is unique to real, old-fashioned bakeries. A few years ago, JB gained fame for introducing its ever-popular “Whale Cookie,” a sugary delight inspired by the brave beluga that swam the Delaware River. The bakery was especially honored to host Food
Network Chef Robert Irvine for an episode of Dinner Impossible, entitled “Nightshift: Impossible”, during which Irvine used JB’s oldworld techniques and machinery to pull a culinary all-nighter.
Above all, JB is a family bakery and a part of the local community. Generations have come to regard it as “their” bakery, and it is common for people who grew up with JB birthday cakes to feature JB at their weddings as well. It is the official bakery of Burlington’s Wood Street Fair and supports other local events such as Festival of Lights, Bike Night, and the car show. JB frequently makes gift and product donations to local organizations and fundraising efforts, and it creates jobs for community members.
Mother’s day is May 14th. Stop in to see our selections of Speciality Cakes and Cookies to celebrate Mom! Come visit us at 712 S High St, Burlington or call Today (609)386-2295.
3 Keys to a Successful Home Renovation or Addition
Getting ready to tackle a home renovation/addition can be one of the most exciting and stressful experiences you’ll ever have. There’s no shortage of things to think about, and just about everyone has an opinion on how things should go.
Here are a few tips based on years of experience working through the renovation process with clients, as well as undertaking it myself.
1. Poor planning is the costliest mistake you can make. The best way to minimize risk is to front-load as much of the discovery process as possible. Surgeons don’t begin an operation without first making a sound diagnosis, nor should anyone start construction without investing in sound planning and design. It’s much easier to make chang-
es long before hammers start swinging!
2. Be clear on your goals, and don’t miss the forest for the trees! It’s critical to have an emotional vision for what you want out of the project – think beyond the pragmatic, quantifiable aspects and more about WHY you are doing what you’re doing. What do you want to feel when you open the front door? What are the primary reasons for renovating or adding on? When these overarching ideas are thought out, it can not only help to simplify some of the smaller details, but also aid in identifying aspects that don’t fit within that vision.
3. You get what you pay for. People tend to significantly underestimate just how much things cost, and by picking a focus (see #2), you can identi-
fy what is most important, and where you’re willing to compromise. A good architect and contractor can advise you on how and where to make changes to have the most impact on your bottom line, without sacrificing your goals.
Sloan Springer Architect is a design-focused practice that helps busy families transform their dated houses into modern homes that perfectly reflect their lifestyles. Designing and building a new home or addition is expensive and time-consuming – but our job is to make sure the process is also enjoyable and engaging!
We don’t just design houses, we craft happy and healthy homes.
