“Drawing is like making an expressive gesture with the advantage of permanence.” Henri Matisse
Visit our Partner Gallery NGCA Breakin’ Up is Hard to Do 30 October – 16 January
Drawing is a key skill of the visual artist and, as Matisse showed through his work in collage, can be achieved without a pen or pencil and paper. This exhibition presents a wide range of work by artists who draw using glass and ceramics. The exhibition will include work by artists who engrave on glass, who use line to create structure or pattern and artists using pyrography, in this instance using hot glass to draw on paper.
