VSGP INSPIRING SCHOOL COMMUNITIES
NGIV retail members ready for VSGP spend
NGIV’s Victorian Schools Garden Program (VSGP) aims to inspire school communities to make the most of their outdoor spaces and promote a lifelong connection with the natural environment and, of course, gardening.
Now in its 45th year, VSGP has never had higher engagement from Victorian schools and is consistently receiving record entries for its Grants and Awards Programs, year after year The program gives away almost $64,000 worth of vouchers to spend within NGIV Full Member retailers annually. This is a significant spend and a wonderful revenue stream for our members, as much as $12,000 per year for some retailers!
This year’s VSGP Grants program winners have now been announced and nursery vouchers to the value of $32,000 have been distributed to 48 successful schools across Victoria. A further $32,000 will be released to winners of the Awards program in November 2022.
How it works Schools have to redeem their nursery vouchers at NGIV retailer member nurseries or allied businesses.
The winning schools have been provided with a list of NGIV retail members.
The voucher processing instructions are provided on the back of the voucher for your staff to follow; make your employees aware of the vouchers and VSGP.
The Grant winners Here’s a list of this year’s winning school entrants, if you’re a full NGIV Retail Member, we encourage you to reach out to any local winning schools to offer your services.
School garden programs provide many children with the only opportunity to learn about the benefits and skills of gardening.
Along with VSGP, schools are helping to grow our industry’s future customers and employees. Please take the time to support schools that visit your nursery, by offering expert advice and building ongoing relationships when they redeem the vouchers. 2022 Victorian Schools Garden Program – Grant Recipients
