This year Mrs Duns would like to encourage everyone to knit blanket squares to be added to blankets which will be donated to homeless individuals who are being supported by Ealing Soup kitchen and the 240 Project based near Latimer Road The pattern for the blanket squares can be found here

Ealing Soup Kitchen is a charity that seeks to help anyone who needs hot, nutritious food & a helping hand We’ve been running a weekend Soup Kitchen since 1973 at St John’s Church in Ealing for the homeless, vulnerable and impoverished. We also run Monday & Friday drop-ins where we provide clothes, food, a barber, showers, foot care, practical help, and games.

The 240 homeless project was an arts and health activity centre for people for people affected by isolation, homelessness and exclusion. The project runs a range of creative arts groups and health improving activities The 240 project was established in 1998 to provide support for vulnerable and excluded individuals with a history of homelessness The project initially aimed to support newly-housed members in remaining in their homes as those who have been homeless often return to the streets
