SENSORY BATH HOUSE In this project I designed a bath house in Copenhagen, Denmark that had an emphasis on the sensory experiences of the user. In the Danish context, sauna and swimming in the summer and winter are a large part of the culture especially due to the harsh climate.
KOREATOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL This project is for a school in Koreatown, Los Angeles. I based my design on the mat scheme typology and began the design process by creating and testing a grid that would work with the necessary program of the school. For this project, I needed to perform structural analysis as well as HVAC and lighting calculations for my design. My objective was to create a scheme where all aspects of the design worked cohesively.

DECORATIVE WALL SCONCE COMPETITION
WATTAGE: 40 WATT EQUIVALENT, 8 WATTS ACTUALLY USED VOLTAGE: 120 VOLTS LAMP LIFE: 22.8 YEAR LIFESPAN This was a short competition for the Designers Lighting Forum of Los Angeles for a wall sconce. In my design, I tried to incorporate differenct layers of translucent and opaque materials to create pleasant indirect light. For this competition, I had to design, 3D CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS: model and then construct my design and exhibit it. NICOLE SEKIGAWA PLEXIGLASS, VELLUM, PLYWOOD

SILVERLAKE MIXED USE COMPLEX This project prompt called for a mixed use multi family complex in Silverlake. I began with an exercise to generate a form. I wanted to integrate the idea of wrapping and weaving so I chose the complex pattern of the Tokyo train map as my starting point. I wanted a “weaving” section to try to stimulate social activity and mingling within the housing complex and as well as within the comercial area.
