The aim of this project is to propose a new lifestyle of co-living in high density residential building. The form of this housing applies to a grid pattern as a solution. In future world under the background of metaverse, more isolation might happen which is bad for physical social interaction. The idea is to force people usng shared space with the help of architectural form.
Overall, the aim of this project is to pridict for posibilities of future co-living lifestyle.
2D Testing
Step 1
Draw a rectangular with an area of 27 m2, the dimension of each unit is 6m*4.5m. Make four cut on each side to form a inner private space. The rest area is for shared space.
Step 2
Duplicate the rectangular.
Step 3
Mirror these two rectangular. Now this big rectangular is combined with a new shared space and four private space.
Step 4
Copy and paste again vertically. Fill ground floor with shared space, first floor with private units and shared space.
3D Testing
Step 1
Based on privious rectangular, enclose four private units as a group. The rest area form shared space.
Step 3
Copy and paste this type of form into a larger scale. The stretegy of this cut occurs: all shared spaces are connected together. Now this big rectangular is combined with a new shared space and four private spaces.

Copy and paste again vertically. Fill ground floor with shared space, first floor with private units and shared space.
Step 4
Delete half of the units from the first floor in order to ensure more flexibility of the ground floor plan.
Single
Private unit for single has a bed room facing south(southwest) direction which ensure nature lighting of the room. Storage space facing to the entrance rely on artificial light and avoid direct sunlight. Bathing area is relatively roomier as a important private function.
Old Couple
Normally, old couple don't have burden of work. They spend more time in private spaces. A private study room is needed for old couples to improve their living quality.
Young couple
The speed of lifestyle is usually faster for young couples. We encourage young people with less storage space and have their daily activities more
Family
Private unit for family keeps the privacy for children. Even area of unit is small, child's bedroom still remain study table and individual storage space.
