WISCONSIN CONFERENCE | UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

If I asked you to describe what “camp” looks like to you, what would you say? Campfires? Tents or cabins? Maybe canoes on a lake? While those are all the things you might see at a camp, we believe that the true spirit of camp is deeper than that. At Pine Lake and Lake Lucerne, camp is a place where everyone can be known. From the moment campers arrive, we are working to make those connections of who they are, who they have potential to be and where God works in between. At camp, everything has meaning. The canoes on the lake are helping to build confidence in a new skill. The tents and cabins are teaching us to live in loving community with each other. And the campfire is where we gather to share all the stories of how we have grown and what God is moving us towards tomorrow.

Every day at camp grows us towards something new and exciting and we can’t wait for you to join us to be a part of it this summer!

Lake Lucerne Programs Exciting news at Lake Lucerne this summer – campers are invited to join us on our brand new climbing tower and zip line!

PRIME

NIGHT OWL

Prime is the all-around camp experience. Individual campers select daily activity sessions based on their preferences. Age-level cabin groups grow together during faith formation and team-building activities. The entire camp community makes lifelong memories through all-camp experiences such as worship, campfire, and large group games.

Night Owl is the premiere high school experience where lifelong memories are created with activities reserved only for our oldest campers. We shift the schedule to sleep in a little and stay up late as we learn and grow together in a faithful community of friends new and old. NIGHT OWL | GRADES 9-12 | LAKE LUCERNE

Every week of camp will give you great experiences and lifelong memories. But each program has a slightly different flavor. Start by choosing your age range. Age groups are based on the grade you are entering for school year 2019. During key transition years (fourth grade, sixth grade, and ninth grade), your parents can help you select which age group will be the best fit.

2

Then choose your style of camping. At Lake Lucerne, you’ll experience larger group camping with daily options to choose your activities. At Pine Lake, you’ll be in a smaller group, and your week will emphasize a particular type of activity. Read the descriptions on the following pages to learn more.

• Tier B is the direct cost of camp and covers the specific expenses incurred during a camper’s week including food, housing, summer staff, and program materials.

A confirmation email will be sent to you immediately after you register. Don’t see it? Check your spam folder. Still don’t see it? Contact our registrar at 608.837.3388.

COMMUNICATION

All campers, youth and adults, are eligible to apply for scholarships. Visit www.WIUMCamps.org/scholarships for more details.

• Tier A is a subsidized rate that helps keep camp affordable for as many families as possible.

NEXT STEPS

We make plans and arrangements for our campers before they arrive, so it’s important to complete your health form online. This can be done during registration, or you can come back to it. We highly encourage completing this at least two weeks before your camp experience.

*A family is considered as no more than two adults and children under 18

Recognizing that families have differing abilities to pay, we use a voluntary tiered pricing structure. This pricing does not influence the quality of the camp experience, but it does help us to continue to provide excellent programs, staffing, and facilities to everyone that attends our camps.

WIUMCamps.org/registration

The confirmation email includes your packing list, directions to camp, arrival instructions, and an account statement with any remaining balance to be paid.

FAMILY CAMPS

For each new friend that signs up, you will get a $50 credit on your summer camp registration. *Additional Terms and Conditions apply

• Tier C is the true cost of camp that allows for long-term sustainability and facility and program improvements.
