About
Born and raised just West of the City of Atlanta, in the small town of Villa Rica, GA, I always knew I wanted to one day attend the University of Georgia. Little did I know that I would pursue a degree in Landscape Architecture and it would end up being the career I wanted to have the rest of my life. Over the past 4 years I have loved every second of the major, from the design studio courses, to memorizing hundreds of plants, and even the late nights in the studio trying to finish that final project. The idea of being able to design spaces for people and solve problems in our cities and towns is exciting to me. I hope to one day be able to do so as a professional Landscape Architect and create a more sustainable, enjoyable world. Outside of the classroom I am a normal college student. I love a good round of golf, college football Saturdays, and cross-country road trips with friends. Enclosed in this portfolio is a collection of my works as a student at the University of Georgia and a story of how I am where I am today. Enjoy

Oglethorpe Estate Athens, GA Fall 2014 The projects on this page are my first experiences with handrenderings and plant symbols as well as the different types of drawings used to represent designs. We were given a design and told to fill the spaces with various plant materials and pavings. We experimeted with markers, pen, and pencil renderings.

Ben Epps Plaza Athens, GA Spring 2015 Ben Epps Plaza was my first experience with landscape rendering through computer programs. We were given the site with the design and had to mix plant materials and paving materials to create the design. We then learned to model the site in Sketchup.

Moss Side Conservation Subdivision Athens, GA Fall 2015 Moss Side Subdivision was one of my first experiences with a larger site. I learned extensive site analysis, measuring the best areas of the site to develop on. I studied slope, soil types, and even which trees to save. I then experimented with the design through developing a conservation subdivision. Using smaller lots and larger public green spaces helped conserve valuable parts of the site and offer a central space for everyone to use.

Moss Side Mixed-Use Development Athens, GA Fall 2015 Using the same site analysis from the conservation design I was then faced with developing the site into a mixed-use development with single-family homes, apartments, and duplex lots. The site included retail and community fitness centers as well. We also used computer programs to layout roads and develop construction documents (right page).

Boy Scout Headquarters Pendergrass, GA Fall 2016 The Boy Scout Headquarters was one of my first projects for a real client. The council located in Pendergrass was searching for a central gathering space for their Boy Scout Troop and a more inviting space for their visitors. I divided the site into various spaces to give the troop a ritual plaza, firepit area, and meditation gardens. Lake Merritt Streetscape Oakland, California
Fall 2016
The Lake Merritt site was a boulevard in Oakland, California that was in need of a more pedestrianfriendly environment. I analyzed the circulation of the current site and what to take advantage of surrounding the site. I worked to narrow driving lanes, increase bike lanes, and make pedestrians feel more inclined to visit the space.

Turfgrass Management and Interests The following page displays some of the unique things my minor has taught me and some of the interests I have when I’m not in the design studio. The images of the potted poinsettias are from my HORT 4050 class where I was faced with the challenge of growing 30 poinsettias, 9 Boston Ferns, and over 120 bedding flowers from start to finish. The class taught fertilizer and plant schedules and how plants are more complex than I thought. The images on the far right display my love for College Football, traveling different places, and seeing the landscape in it’s natural form.
