BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS To book any of the products on the ABOVE & BEYOND HOLIDAYS website or in the brochure please contact your preferred travel agent or ABOVE & BEYOND HOLIDAYS (hereafter known as A&B). DEPOSITS A non refundable deposit of $500 per person is required within 7 days of confirmation. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required within 7 days of confirmation. For bookings made within 14 days of departure full payment is required within 48 hours and a credit card guarantee will be required. Packages based on special airfares or special conditions may require full payment within 72 hours or less of confirmation. If for any reason your deposit is not received by the due date A&B Holidays reserves the right to cancel the booking. Certain properties may periodically impose separate strict deposit and booking conditions. Your consultant will provide this information at the time of booking.

AMENDMENTS AFTER DEPARTURE A&B is unable to assist in changing your arrangements after you have left Australia. Should your plans change whilst overseas, the first point of contact should be the service provider listed on the voucher. Please be aware that the operator may levy an amendment fee for this service and that no refund is available on your return to Australia if you amend your travel arrangements while overseas.

FORCED CANCELLATION A&B and the tour operators represented on the website and brochure have the right to cancel any tour up to 56 days before departure if the minimum number of participants required to operate the tour is not reached, or for any other reason we deem necessary or beyond our control, including unstable political conditions. In the event of a tour cancellation, alternative arrangements will be recommended. If a suitable substitution is not found, you will be fully refunded, less any charges incurred by us from international suppliers. PASSPORTS & VISAS Australian citizens require a current passport, which must be valid for at least six months after your return to Australia. It is the responsibility of the individual traveller to obtain the required visas before departure. Failure to do so resulting in the need to cancel travel arrangements will incur normal cancellation penalties. Please discuss your visa requirements with your travel consultant or the staff at A&B. DRIVERS LICENCE An international driver’s licence is recommended. To obtain an international driver’s licence please contact the Automobile Association in your state e.g. NRMA, RACV. INSURANCE Cancellation and refund conditions are strictly enforced so we strongly recommend that you carry comprehensive travel insurance which covers cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances or those beyond your control. Please ask your travel agent or an A&B consultant for a choice of policies. If you choose to use travel insurance offered by other providers such as credit card companies, make sure you read the small print carefully to ensure the insurance covers you adequately. Please be sure to declare pre-existing health conditions when applying for insurance. Unresolved complaints must be conveyed to A&B in writing together with all supporting documents within 28 days of returning to Australia. PASSENGER NAMES It is absolutely essential that the names of passengers given to us are exactly as they appear in the passenger’s passport. Please ensure that that these details have been recorded correctly. Name changes are considered as a cancellation by airlines and require seats to be re-booked and tickets re-issued. Above and Beyond Holidays will not be held responsible for any additional charges incurred by these changes. Name changes after a booking has been made may mean having to cancel the original booking resulting in the loss of confirmed seats. Any request for name or initial changes after documents have been issued has the same risks and also attracts ticket reissue charges from both the airline and A&B Holidays. DELAYS A&B will not be liable for any delays prior to departure or during the course of any holiday mentioned in this brochure, whether brought about by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions or any other circumstances whatsoever. Any expenses relating to these delays (e.g. hotels, meals, telephone calls etc) must be paid by the passenger. Travel insurance may not cover certain delays. REFUNDS Once the reservation we have booked for you commences, no refunds will be made for any unused services whether by choice or circumstances. AIRLINES Airlines involved in our package holidays do not, by virtue of their endorsement of our brochure represent themselves as contracting with any purchaser of an A&B Holidays package. Airline conditions are contained in your airline ticket. PRICES Any quote is an estimate only of price which will be subject to availability and to written advice on confirmation of all reservation components. Details of your holiday cost inclusions will appear on the confirmation/invoice provided to you or your Travel Agent and in your final documentation. Prices do not include meals, airport transfers and sightseeing tours unless specifically stated and exclude personal expenditure such as laundry, telephone calls, emergency evacuation costs, drinks, excess baggage, Government airport and airline charges, passport, visa fees, gratuities, insurance and travel costs in Australia to the point of international departure. Places to go! What to see! What to do! Mauritius is a melting pot of cultures and the diversity of its people makes it a very unique destination. Getting around the island is easy and we recommend that you get out and about to experience everything this country has to offer. You can walk with lions, mix it with the cheetahs, shop till you drop or drop to the bottom of the ocean floor, fly through the canopy of the forest, climb a mountain, go hiking, or try your hand at canyoning, hop on a Quad Bike, kayak the lagoons, swim with the dolphins or hire a car and discover the hidden treasures.

Mauritian Heritage Full day: Visit the capital Port Louis, the Botanical Gardens of Pamplemousse, the Sugar Museum, visit the Colonial House of Eureka with lunch on the veranda at L’Escale, return to Port Louis with time to shop at Le Caudan Waterfront.

The Tea Route Full day: Includes visits of the Colonial house of Le Domaine des Aubineaux for morning high tea, the Tea Factory of Bois Cheri, St Aubin and the Rhummery where you stop for lunch, afternoon visit the wild south coast with a stop at Gris Gris.

At Pointe D’Esny board a small boat and visit the island of Ile Aux Aigrettes. It is the last refuge of the Ebony forest and here you will see 100% endemic flora and fauna such as the Pink Pigeon. Lunch is included at a typical Creole restaurant. On the way back, visit La Vanille Reserve, home of the giant Aladabra tortoises.

Shop till you Drop Some of the great buys in Mauritius include, textiles – designer labels at a fraction of the cost, cashmere and personal tailoring. Diamonds can be purchased duty free at the factories of Floreal. Shop for local spices, Mauritian tea and Green Island Rum. Marlin Masters is an annual Tag & Release fishing tournament on the west and south west coast of the Island, in front of Le Morne and Black River. An International Game Fish Association Offshore World Championship Qualifying tournament - the winning team from the year prior will participate in the following IGFA Championship!

Royal Raid consists of two races held simultaneously: Royal Raid 80 (RR80) is a race of 80 kilometres to be covered in less than 24 hours and Royal Raid 35 (RR35) a race of 35 kilometres to be covered in less than 09 hours.

This Surf Ski event qualifies as one stage of the Official World Cup Tour. Jointly organised and sponsored by Epic Kayaks and Naiade Resorts. An international triathlon event passing through some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. The Indian Ocean Triathlon consists of a 1.8 km swim in a lagoon, a 55 km bike through the tough Chamarel Pass, and a 12 km run along the beach. Weather: Summer is from November to April with average lows of 23°C and highs up to 33°C with higher humidity. Winter is from May to October offering mild and warm sunny days with low humidity. For those who feel the cold we recommend a light jacket or pashmina in the evening. Average lows in winter range from 17°C to maximum of 26°C.

Electricity: The islands of Mauritius, Reunion and Seychelles vary – it is recommended that you take with you a multi UK/Europe adaptor.

What to Wear? What to Take?: Mauritius, Reunion and Seychelles are tropical islands so pack accordingly. Reunion in the winter can get cold if you are visiting the Cirques it has been known to snow there. During the day casual clothing is the norm. Ties and dinner jackets are not required, but the hotels do require a dress code at night of no shorts for men. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers.

Getting around: In Mauritius and Reunion it is easy to rent a car and we can happily arrange this before you leave. You will require an international drivers license. Mauritius has public transport and it is easy to use, however, if you are in a hurry we recommend you take a local taxi. In Reunion there are local buses but they are in French. Language: The official language of Mauritius is English but French and Creole is the common language, the majority of people in Mauritius are multi lingual and you will not have any trouble. In Reunion French is the national language and while some English is spoken in the hotels it is not widely used. The Seychelles like Mauritius, you will find the people speak English, French and the local Creole.
