welcome to canada. Canada is a country of wide open spaces and offers a world of contrasts _ modern cities rich in art and culture are on the doorstep of rugged mountain ranges and the great outdoors. Canada’s west contains some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, the harbour front cities of Vancouver and Victoria, the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains with picturesque Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, and the stampede city of Calgary. In the east visit the cosmopolitan cities of Toronto, Montreal and Québec, the capital Ottawa and thundering Niagara Falls. Experience the history of the St. Lawrence River region and the rugged coastlines of the Maritime Provinces. In the north view the polar bears and beluga whales of Manitoba or wonder at the unspoilt beauty and fascinating Gold Rush history of the Yukon. If it’s a tour by coach or rail, or you prefer the independence of your own motorhome or rental car, Momento Travel Services can arrange it all as the leader in travel to Canada.

CANADIAN BEAR VIEWING TOURS
canadian bear viewing tours KNIGHT INLET LODGE FROM CAMPBELL RIVER Located 80 kilometres north of Campbell River, British Columbia, is the wild and remote Knight Inlet. Situated 60 kilometres from the mouth of the inlet in Glendale Cove is Knight Inlet Lodge. Glendale Cove is home to one of the largest concentrations of grizzly bears in British Columbia. It is not uncommon for there to be up to 50 bears within 10 kilometres of the lodge in the peak fall season, when the salmon are returning to the river. Although they are abundant in the fall, it is not the only season that grizzly bears can be found in Glendale Cove. Starting in late April the bears return to the estuary from winter dens and start the year feeding on the sedges, succulents, grasses and barnacles that abound in the estuary.
This is the time to see, at close proximity, the tiny cubs emerge with their ever-cautious mothers. In the summer, the berry crop is very heavy and this helps keeps the bears in the general area. As well as bear viewing, Knight Inlet Lodge also offers a number of other highlights including marine wildlife tours, excursions to the upper reaches of Knight Inlet, day-hiking programs and guided kayaking tours. Many of these activities are only available to guests staying a minimum of 3 nights at Knight Inlet Lodge. Knight Inlet packages can be extended to six night’s duration. Momento Travel Services highly recommends staying at Knight Inlet Lodge for a minimum of two nights.

welcome to the usa. Travel to America is nothing short of grand. Only in America can you find an astounding collection of natural and cultural wonders, from the wildly colourful tapestry of urban streets to dramatic coastlines, barren deserts, iceberg laden peaks, plains of remote tundra rich in even grander wildlife, amazing beaches, delectable vineyards, rolling prairies and giant redwoods that cover vast expanses of the country which itself spans 9.83 million square kilometres. Putting this into perspective, even the shortest distance from the East to West Coast (as the crow flies) is a hefty 3,347 km from San Diego, California to Jacksonville, Florida. Culture, cuisine, entertainment, wildlife, awe-inspiring landscapes, cityscapes and historic hubs make this a country of road trips, rail journeys and great open skies that unequivocally offer something for everyone. Perhaps the only problem...where to start?

amtrak The united States may be the land of the car, but it is also one of the greatest countries in the world to be explored by passenger train. Amtrak operates services over some 35,000 km of track, serving more than 500 communities in 46 American states and even 3 provinces of Canada. Trains carry one or more classes of accommodation: coach, business, and sleeper. If you are planning more than one journey on an Amtrak train, the best option is a Rail Pass. As the nation's intercity passenger rail operator, Amtrak connects America in safer, greener and healthier ways operating more than 300 trains each day — at speeds up to 150 mph. Amtrak trains take you directly to the centre of America’s best loved cities, including Los Angeles, Miami, and new York. Stay in the city or sleep in comfortable onboard accommodations as you cross the nation east to west through Glacier national Park or north to south
along the winding Pacific and Atlantic Coasts. When you arise, enjoy Continental or American breakfast on the train. Make friends over a glass of wine and dine on regional specialties like catfish and Mississippi Mud cake. That is what awaits you as you journey aboard the train following the Mississippi River and “Blues Trail” through musical Memphis, St. Louis and new Orleans. Travelling east, The deep South’s bayous, bays, white-columned houses and cotton fields give way to Florida’s everglades, sandy beaches, and manmade attractions. Modern-day Texas cowboys, purple sunsets, blooming deserts and more are all on display from your vantage point aboard the train. In the hills, plains, woods and lake country of the Midwest, you can almost imagine America’s First nations’ peoples and buffalo roaming free. Much of the country still remains untouched. Authentic America – its cities, its forests, and its people – is waiting for you. discover it aboard Amtrak.

ALAMO CAR RENTAL
ALAMO CAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS Rates: Daily rates apply per 24-hour period. The date of pick-up determines seasonality charge. All rates apply to Australian and New Zealand residents who have prereserved and prepaid their rental through Momento Travel. Length of Rental: Each rental agreement is effective for a maximum of 56 consecutive days. Driver Requirements: The minimum driver age is 21 years, except in the states of New York and Michigan where the minimum is 18 years. An underage fee of US$25 per day applies to any driver aged from 21-24 inclusive. In New York and Michigan an insurance recovery fee of US$60 per day applies to drivers aged 1824 years. An additional driver will incur a fee of up to US$10 per day, except in California where 1st and 2nd drivers are FREE. All drivers must present a valid driver’s licence, passport and credit card issued in the same name at time of rental. Driving Restrictions: Vehicles may be driven in continental USA and Canada, but not in Mexico. Vehicles rented in the USA must be returned to the USA depot at which they were rented or drop-off fees may apply. Vehicles rented in Alaska must be returned to Alaska. Driving on unpaved roads voids CDW coverage. Deposits: A credit card imprint matching the name of the renter is required at the time of collection to cover any incidental charges. Renters without a credit card are required to leave a deposit of US$25 per day or US$100 per week and must provide a valid passport and return international airline ticket. Petrol: For your convenience, Alamo will ensure your car is ready with a full tank of petrol at the commencement of your rental. At the time of rental, you will have a choice of two fuel options – (a) purchase a full tank of fuel, so there is no need to refuel at the end of your rental (prices are near or below local retail prices yet no refund will be given on unused petrol), or (b) vehicle is rented with a full

tank and the renter is responsible for refuelling at the end of the rental. Alamo provides refuelling service at time of return for one-stop convenience. One-Way Rentals: One-way hires are permitted between Alamo locations with prior confirmation. NOT PERMITTED: No one-ways are allowed on Economy vehicles in any city/state. No one-way hires within Alaska or between Alaska and mainland USA. All intercity fees are waived within the state of Florida and New York and within the state of California; between California, Arizona and Nevada and v.v.; between California and Seattle and v.v. Alamo reserves the right to exclude intercity fee at certain locations. Drop offs between Seattle (SEA) Airport and Downtown or v.v. will incur approx US$99 charge. All one-way fees are based on mileage, except Hawaii. Mileage is based on pre-calculated distance between Alamo depots, NOT the mileage driven by the renter to get from the pick-up depot to the drop-off depot. One-Way Fees: One-way hires are permitted between Alamo locations with prior confirmation however dropoff fees may apply. No one-way hires are permitted for Economy vehicles. Insurances: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW ) is included in the rental cost and contractually waives or limits the renter’s liability for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle, provided the rental agreement terms are not violated. Third Party Liability Insurance is included in the rental but only to the minimum amount required in the state of incident. Optional Insurances Liability Protection (LP)/ Supplement Liability Protection (SLP) are both included in Silver Rates. Both LP and SLI extends your 3rd Party Protection to US$1 million and US$100,000 for uninsured or underinsured motorist protection. We highly recommend you purchase LP, in cases where rates do not include LP or SLP. Seatbelts & Infant Seats: State law requires the use of seatbelts and child restraint seats. Alamo has approved infant safety seats suitable for infants aged from 6 months

to 2 years available for US$6.99 per day. Infant seats must be requested at the time of reservation. Vehicle Categories: Vehicles are confirmed by category only and not by particular model or make. Optional Equipment: Availability and cost per day of optional equipment varies by location and must be requested at the time of reservation. Optional equipment cannot be guaranteed. GPS: Currently Alamo is offering portable GPS units at many locations across the USA at a cost of US$11.99 per day or US$69.95 per week. Please note: Units can be requested before travel but cannot be guaranteed. Partially Used Rentals: No refund will be made on any unused portion of prepaid rentals. Alamo Save Time: Alamo has introduced a smart new way to improve your car rental experience – Alamo Save Time. A unique product for your enjoyment allowing you to speed up your rental experience by providing your personal car hire details ahead of time. Simply preregister at www.alamosavetime.com to enhance your rental experience. A faster rental experience – a couple of minutes now will save time later. Alamo Assistance: Alamo presently has some 280 depot locations throughout the USA. There is a 24-hour road assistance toll free number that will be provided at the time of rental, should you need help during your rental period. Your satisfaction with your rental arrangements is important to Alamo, who looks forward to being of service to you.
