A WORD FROM THE SENIOR MINISTER

A mountaintop experi W

e were running behind schedule, which was a major concern. Our flight from Heathrow had been delayed, causing us to miss our connecting flight in Delhi, and we were put on an early morning flight the next day to Kathmandu. It meant we set out in our jeep at midday rather than the scheduled time of 7.00am. Our aim was to be at our destination high in the Himalayan mountains before nightfall, because most of the journey would be over very bad ground. It was dark as we ascended the final stretch of the mountain pass, inching slowly forward and upward. Even in four-wheel drive mode, the jeep often faltered on the rocks, mud and the mountain water streams we needed to negotiate. And it started raining. Far below us in the valleys, dropping sheer to our side, balls of lightening lit up the night sky, knocking out the electricity supply of the village at which we finally arrived in the dark. This was where our next Healing and Deliverance training was to take place: the village of around 9,000 people that four years ago was the epicentre of the earthquake which devastated Nepal. We stayed in one of only 20 houses that hadn’t been destroyed at that time. The houses were mainly rebuilt now, but the streets still showed evidence of the devastation. Whilst being hosted in a sort of guesthouse, owned by a Buddhist family, and sitting on the floor to eat in Nepali style, we noticed the woman of the house sat with us while her husband did all the cooking and serving. She explained she was suffering with severe sciatica pain in her back, which she had had for years, and was unable to serve us. When Rajinder offered to pray for her she readily agreed, even though understanding it would be in the Name of Jesus. The next morning, she was up very early, cooking and serving the breakfast for our party of five, and all subsequent meals, with no apparent problem in bending, squatting, kneeling and sitting. Each evening when we returned, she asked Rajinder for prayer.

It was a great opportunity for our interpreter to share the Gospel and the power of Christ to save and heal. 2

After three days she declared: “I am completely healed!” The woman was so grateful for her healing that she charged our party next to nothing for all the days we stayed there having our meals. Being a village, she told her neighbours, and the next evening some Hindu ladies arrived, asking for prayer. It was a great opportunity for our interpreter to share the Gospel and the power of Christ to save and heal. Over 100 pastors, church leaders and church workers from fifteen different churches had assembled at the local church, from villages all around the mountains. Some had walked many hours, others for two days. The efficiency of feeding on time and housing such a large number was inspiring, as over the next few days we took them first through how to minister in deliverance and set up an effective deliverance ministry in the church. And second, as Rajinder showed them how to effectively pray for the sick, many were healed as they prayed for each other. They are very familiar with the supernatural powers of the occult, because that is part of the religions of Nepal, but they lack the knowledge as to how to deal with it

day off), the church was packed to capacity. They don’t use chairs but sit on the floor, and every space was occupied with a body. The pastor’s wife came to give the week’s notices, but used the opportunity to share a long and powerful testimony about what had happened to her the day before. She unashamedly explained how, when listening to the deliverance teaching, she realised she had a lot of unforgiveness, which she then repented of and let go. Describing her powerful time of being released from many evil spirits, she testified to how different she was as a result. Others testified about their healings too. At the end of their service, having shown the leaders what to do during the seminars, we released them to pray for the people in healing, and afterwards to minister to them in deliverance. The excitement was palpable, as people were being healed all over the room and coming forward to share testimonies. Similarly many were set free from evil spirits, during which time the hours just slipped away, as their usual two-hour service continued non-stop for five hours. That evening, they held a celebration party with much dancing and singing. They said they had never seen such things before, and what encouraged them most was the fact they were now equipped to go and see the same things happening in their own churches.

In the Bible, the mountaintop was often the place God called people aside to meet with Him. It was the place of refreshing, infilling, revelation and drawing closer to God. From there they would venture forth to greater things. There is something breathtaking about being nearly 3,000 metres above sea-level in the fresh air, surrounded by a spectacular snow-capped Himalayan view. In the quietude all around, with hunting eagles soaring so close above our heads they looked huge, a human being seems so small set against God’s creation, which looks so vast and awesome. We may rarely have the opportunity to visit a mountaintop, but we can and must seek time to spend in God’s presence. It is what we are in our private time with God that reflects what we are in our public time with people. And we can only be as spiritually strong in public as we are spiritually strong in our time alone with God. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

SPECIAL FEATURE

UNBREAKABLE Last year, during the summer, MEKELLE OWUSU-AGYARE, then still only thirteen years old, decide she wanted to write a novel. So she spent her school summer holiday doing just that. Asking her parents to see if it could be published, they sent it to five different publishers and found that each one was eager to publish it. Now her first book, entitled ‘XXIV: Unbreakable’ and written under her pen name of M. Angel, is available in print from Conscious Dreams Publishing. We spoke to her about it. Mekelle, you have recently had published a book that you wrote. How did that come about? “Well, you know what they say: ‘Boredom is just God’s way of telling you you’re wasting time’, so, I simply stopped wasting time. I’ve always had ideas for stories, I just never did anything serious with them. And I always had a thing for creative writing. All of that, mixed with a lot of free time and extreme boredom, and here we are!” Would you say the plot reflects a good versus evil story? Tell us how that may reflect your Christian values. “It definitely reflects a good versus evil plot. I think once you have all the facts, it becomes very clear who’s on which side, which is basically the foundation of most religions - not just Christianity. It’s always a choice between good and bad, or right and wrong. Just like the main character, I often know which way is right and which one is wrong, but like everyone else, you often have to decide whether you do what’s right or what’s easy. And Christianity is all about love and compassion, and not compromising your values just to avoid hardships.” Away from the fantasy world of your novel, in the real world, how does the teaching of the Bible affect your everyday life? “Well, like I said, I try to do what’s right though it’s easier said than done. God said to love your neighbour,

but sometimes people can make that very hard. God also said that those who guard their lips, preserve their lives, but it’s all too easy to speak carelessly without thinking. It’s all written down: do this, do that, don’t do this, don’t do that, but in reality, you have to put in more than minimal effort to make it to heaven. Being a Christian makes me think more about what I do before I act. I look before I leap, and that benefits me more than anyone. Even if there were a different version of things, where God wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have lost anything. I’d have gained something, in fact. I’ve become a good person, who has worked for the benefit of others.” Do you intend to write any more books in a similar or different genre? “Oh, I am definitely writing more! Without a doubt, I have numerous sequels and prequels all planned out in my head. As for the genre, it will range from both similar and different genres. There will be some more fantasy books, some mysteries, sci-fi, melodramas (my personal favourite) and many, many more.”

PRACTICAL TRUTHS

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO ‘UNDERSTAND T HE TIMES’?

T

he global Christian movement is growing but regularly experiences crisis. Why is that? Well, most of us accepted a gospel to escape hell, by trying to ‘not’ sin, as the way to please God: “Look at me, God, I haven’t sinned!” Problem is, the Bible contains a harrowing warning about believing we can please God, simply because we haven’t sinned - in our own minds. Be encouraged. God is awesome and can’t be reduced to just heaven or hell, because both will pass away. So the idea that by not sinning we are accepted (which we already know is the Pharisee’s approach) - doesn’t work. Very few if any of us accepted the Gospel of 100% unconditional love. The stick, ‘hell’, is always used to balance the message. But, is scaring people to accept Jesus, what Jesus actually wants? In our generation, we have seen and are seeing the total destruction of everything ‘establishment’. God is exposing the myths on which people were convinced to believe in Him; God is revealing the truth. God is exposing how idolatry has found its way even into the Pentecostal movement, which at its foundation embraced the power of the Holy Spirit. This is all part of a plan. God reveals to restore. The old approach, of achieving holiness by our own will, was a lie then, and is a lie today. Without faith in Jesus the Christ through His Holy Spirit, it is 100% impossible to please God - irrespective of good behaviour. Handing out ‘discipline’ without the Holy Spirit doesn’t work either. That’s why no one is healed of alcohol by not visiting pubs, or weaned off pornography by staying off the Internet. To understand the times we are in requires our hearts to be in communication with God’s heart. That’s called praying. In 2 Chronicles 14:7, God tells His people to do three things and, in return, He will do three things. He asked them to humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways. In return, He guarantees to hear them, heal the land for them, and forgive their sin.

To understand the times we are in requires our hearts to be in communication with God’s heart. That’s called praying. 8

GRAPEVINE magazine • Issue 98 • June/July 2019

Each of the three things people are asked to do requires their hearts - the organ that’s an open book to God. • Be humble - get rid of self-righteousness • Pray - have continuous heart-to-hearts with God • Turn from wicked ways - choose ways that God would choose One example of ‘wicked ways’ we are all guilty of is the decision to offer up praise, while knowing brothers and sisters have issues with us. It may feel right, but it isn’t what God asked us to do. Leaving brothers and sisters in pain, while we ‘pray about it’ is passive aggressive culture, not holiness. And through it all God is just beautiful, full of integrity, and honours His Word. When we and our leaders fail and we all do often - God maintains them as leaders. It would be great if our leaders (in the widest sense of the word) were even an iota as forgiving as God is. Why is all this important? Simple. To understand the times requires a listening heart, and when the heart contains wicked ways, it can’t listen. What is a wicked heart? One that does not make peace; one that engages in revenge under the guise of ‘righteous anger’; one that punishes to ‘set an example’; one that encourages the offering of tithes, without resolving issues with brothers and sisters first. To many of us, this is normal, human behaviour, but to God this is unholy. So let’s be holy and perfect, as our Father in Heaven. Let’s rid our hearts from embracing ‘acceptable’ but wicked ways. Let’s open our hearts to God, so He opens His heart to us. Be encouraged.

TRUE LIFE STORY

T God’s constant faithfulness through every trial by Mark Dishley

God is good. I don’t understand why I went through this, but what I DO know is that through the whole thing, God kept me.

he problems really seemed to come out of nowhere. For three years, after a busy and stressful period in my life, I had continued to push myself to carry on as normal, but I felt wiped out all the time. I didn’t realise at the time that was the start of a long battle. One day I tried to get up for work, but from my neck down felt dead. I literally couldn’t move or feel anything. This lasted several hours. Since then, I’ve had loads of blood tests, MRI and CT scans, including heart tests. At one point the doctors were even saying I might need a pacemaker. But after praying about this, I was cleared and they said I didn’t need one after all. The only thing they could find was that I had had glandular fever and Lyme disease at some point. I also got scabies and was prescribed pesticide cream. I had to apply this from head to toe and, as result, I got a reaction to the cream, and ended up getting eczema and dermatitis. I used to wake myself up, scratching my legs till they bled. I was attacked spiritually by demonic stuff at night, and when I awoke it felt like this all started again. So I felt like I was constantly under attack. As a result I hardly slept and any sleep I did get was very disrupted. Plus I had some kind of illness which the doctors couldn’t clearly diagnose. I had brain fog, muscle fatigue, pains in my arms and legs. I was feeling wiped out virtually all the time, with bursts of adrenaline which would kick in at odd times. After seeing various specialists and various doctors, including the hospital for tropical diseases, I was finally diagnosed with CFS/ME. Through this time I had to reduce my work hours to cope. This lasted for almost three years. Then, on 31st January 2019, everything changed. I met an American who was a fellow Christian artist, whom I had only spoken to via email. He came

over to the UK and we met up. He prayed for me, and I believe God used him to heal me. I felt like my breathing was healed, as he prayed over my heart. And something came out of my head, as he was praying over my head. As he prayed, I felt like I was being bathed in sunlight. He stopped praying and said: “When I first met you, I thought you were about 60, as your hair and beard were white, your face was ashen, and you had black circles under your eyes. But now I am seeing that you’re a lot younger, as the colour is returning to your face ... and returning to your hair from the roots.” Sure enough, my hair and complexion have changed. My hair is a lot darker and people keep saying I look younger and healthier. I have had to keep looking in the mirror, as it is an amazing change. Since then I have had no muscle fatigue or brain fog, etc - even my skin is healing up, and my sleep has improved with constant peaceful nights’ sleep of six hours average. I feel like a new person, praise God. Since then, God has even afforded me opportunities to pray for people, and to share with the doctors and the Sikh and Muslim families I work with. The Muslim family even asked me to pray for them and their household, and allowed me to pray in the Name of Jesus. God is good. I don’t understand why I went through this, but what I do know is that through the whole thing God kept me. I have learnt a lot about His faithfulness and love, and it has helped deepen my faith. I believe the spirit of death, which the man who prayed, saw over me, is broken off, and I’m believing that God has a plan for me. At times, in our darkest moments, I know God is there with us. And I thank God for Jesus and the hope and healing He has given me, and I’m truly grateful.

LOCAL LIGHTHOUSE EVANGELISM

UPDATES

T

Margaret Wartemberg HOUNSLOW

he morning started with seven of us on the team, all ready and expectant to see what God was going to do that morning in our local town of Hounslow during the evangelism. It was the Easter season, and we were handing out bags of Easter eggs and wishing everyone – including those who weren’t in relationship with God - a very happy Easter. A lady we met said she was “looking for a godly church”, so Eileen and Helen invited her to come to ECC on Sunday evening, which she seemed willing to do. Another lady spoke of the issues she’d been going through. She said her pastor told her to go to Ealing Christian Centre, and that the issues would be sorted out for her. She had called the Prayer Centre and believes she could receive help from ECC and would like to attend. Eileen prayed for a man who had fractured toes. Afterwards she asked how he felt, and he said he could feel some heat all over his feet. We explained that healing was taking place. (Heat or warmth can be a sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit). Seamus prayed for two men, who said they would like to be remembered in our prayers. We filled out some prayer request forms for them. As we were finishing our prayers, two young Muslim men from Paris walked over to us, wanting to know what we were doing. They were open-minded and willing to know more about Jesus. Cheryl spoke to them about God coming to earth in the human form of Jesus. We gave them a copy of the New Testament to read, and also showed them how to pray to ask the Lord Jesus to reveal Himself to them, as He had done to other Muslims. They were also invited to ECC. We pray that the Lord will touch all the people we spoke to, and that those who received the tracts from us will receive peace, joy and healing.”

T

Florence Thomas GREENFORD

he gift bags - filled with Easter eggs, tracts and a pen - went very quickly, as adults and children were wished a very happy Easter and given a bag. The gift bags were especially prepared for nonchurchgoers, who like receiving Easter eggs, and gave us an opportunity to share the Gospel with them and invite them to church. A Catholic woman asked if we could explain to her what it meant to be a Pentecostal church believer. “I want to know more,” she said. “I will not deny what you believe, but simply want to find out more...” We happily answered her questions about some of the differences between Catholic beliefs and being a born-again believer. We also mentioned the power of God that He demonstrates today, as He heals people of various problems. Florence testified how Jesus had healed her as she had been losing sight, and miraculously God gave her clear vision. The Catholic sister was so pleased and said she’d never heard of people being healed today, but she was open to what was being said. Florence invited her to take a look at on our website to know more about our beliefs and hear the testimonies at ECC. She said she will and went happily on her way.

REVIVAL HEALING

by Linda Lewis

I PICTURE: Rez (left) and his wife, Haleh, at their recent baptismal service.

GOD demonstrating His power through salvation and healing

Revival and Healing meetings take place on the second Sunday of each month at 6.30pm

met Haleh, who is from a Muslim background, and brought her to church. She had never entered the doors of a church before and, during the prayer and ministry time at church, as Haleh was prayed for by the Pastor, she suddenly saw a vision of Jesus Christ. She saw Him standing and moving in different places in the church building, and she was totally amazed and very happy. As a result of seeing a vision of Jesus Christ, she gave her life to Him, and invited Him to become her Lord and Saviour. One day, whilst visiting the couple, I witnessed to Haleh’s husband, Rez, about Jesus and mentioned that his wife had actually given her life to Jesus, and that she had seen a vision of Jesus in the church (as Haleh had not yet mentioned her vision of Jesus to her Muslim husband). Rez was very surprised to know that Jesus had shown Himself to his wife in church. He was happy for her, but still did not come to faith in Jesus. Time passed and Haleh hadn’t been to church for a few months, as she worked on Sundays and had been busy with work. After many months, I saw her shopping in Tesco, and she called out my name loudly. I was very happy to see her, and she mentioned that her husband Rez had been very ill and she had been looking after him. He was in agonising pain, with sciatica problem (a form of trapped nerve in the back that is really painful), and was feeling very discouraged and even depressed. He couldn’t work anymore – all he could do was to lie on the floor to recover. He had been to see the doctor and was prescribed a high dosage of co-codamol and codeine sulphate - strong painkillers. He was also on physiotherapy.

He had been in this condition for six months - sleeping on the floor to relieve his pain - and he couldn’t walk. Haleh was very worried about her husband. I went with her to her home to pray for her husband, but unfortunately I’d had a back problem myself for the previous 10 days so, as I couldn’t even bend very much myself to pray for him, I simply said a prayer and went home. The next day I came to church with Haleh for our Christmas Day meal. Sister Colleen prayed for me, and commanded healing in my back as I couldn’t move easily. I was instantly healed, and started running up and down as all the pain had left my back. We decided then that, since I had been healed, we were going to pray once again for Rez to be healed. I went with Haleh to her home, and sat Rez on a chair. I commanded healing of his back. As one of his legs was shorter than the other, we commanded his leg to grow back into alignment in Jesus’ Name. With Colleen on the other end of the phone, together we commanded healing of his sciatica problem and for the pain to go. An amazing thing happened. Rez got up from the chair, totally healed of his sciatica problem. He started jumping up and down, praising God. He very soon gave his life to Jesus, and testified at ECC of his healing. He even bent down in different directions to demonstrate that God had healed him of all pain. God had demonstrated Himself through a vision and by His power to the couple who continue to follow Jesus faithfully, and who were recently baptised in water.”

So writes the Psalmist, who reveals through this psalm the heart of someone who is hungering and thirsting after the living God. In mind, body, soul and spirit, he longs to have a closer walk with his God, not wanting the godless ways of the world to hinder or hold him back or rob him of the presence of God he so desires. This is not to be something just for young people. Rather, everyone who has a personal experience of Jesus’ forgiveness, love and Spirit within them, should similarly have that deep longing to know their God more and more. “I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death…” wrote the apostle Paul in Philippians 3:10, many years after he had first come to know and serve Jesus with all the signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit in his apostolic ministry. He knew there was always a closer walk with Jesus, no matter how long he had known and served Him, and he wanted to get to that place. Jesus said that those who genuinely hunger and thirst after righteousness will be filled (Matthew 5:6). The only condition is the spiritual hunger and thirst. And the writer of Psalm 119 knew that the way to know and understand the character of God, the purposes of God in our individual lives, and how to put them into practice in our daily living, was to read, learn, know, love and to live out God’s Word, as revealed in the Bible. Here we learn a healthy and helpful, righteous fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. And, as we live daily by the wisdom of God, because His Word is hidden in our hearts, we shall know the blessings of God. It is never easy living in a fallen world system that opposes the values of God, with a fallen nature within us that strives against the righteousness of God’s standards and the hostility of those who have no love for or desire to follow the ways of God. But there is no substitute for living a life with God, and knowing His presence and His Spirit in our daily lives. If we exhibit the same zeal as the Psalmist in pursuing our God, His righteous ways, and godliness stoked up through His living Word burning in our hearts, there is no limit to what the Holy Spirit could do in and through us.

Psalm119:1-8 Seeking God with all our heart 1. Lord, help us to love You with all our being. 2. Holy Spirit, in our struggle against the sinful nature, enable us to make the conscious decision to keep our thought-life in line with Your standards. 3. Help us to take time to meditate on Your statutes, Your values and Your standards of thought and behaviour, so we may not depart from them. 4. Help us to be steadfast in our ways, so we walk consistently according to Your will and not be haphazard in our Christian life. 5. Bring us a close sense of Your presence today, O God, and if we sense we have fallen short of Your standards, as we confess our shortcomings, grant us Your peace. Psalm 119:9-10 The young 1. As we pray for all the children in the

church, help us to guide, teach and influence them to grow up in the training and instruction of the Lord. 2. As we pray for all our youth, we ask that You would help and strengthen them in this generation that so openly champions ungodly lifestyles. 3. Give our young people a passion to read and understand Your Word, so that they may know what choices they should make in any and every situation. 4. Send revival amongst our youth; may they rise up as a radical generation on fire for God. 5. Holy Spirit, strive with all the unsaved youth we know, and bring them to the place of salvation in Christ. Psalm 119:11-16 Hiding God’s Word in our hearts 1. Give us a passion to read and study Your Word, and then to put it into practice in every area of our lives. 2. May the Bible not be a book that

lies on the shelf, but an essential companion to our everyday lives. 3. Holy Spirit, as we read the Bible, bring the Scriptures alive to us each time we read, and speak to us personally through the Word of God. 4. Strengthen us so that we will always be doers of Your Word and not merely readers of it. 5. Make Your Word a joy for us to read, so that the busyness of life never comes in the way of our spending time with the Bible. Psalm 119:117-24 Handling criticism 1. Lord, give us the strength to stand up for You as we live in a society that is becoming increasingly hostile to You and Your ways. 2. For all those church members who work in environments that are hostile to the Gospel, give each one the grace they need each day. 3. For all those in the church who work in challenging work environments,

PRAYER DIARY

June 2019 hen he had not long come to the throne, because he was walking close to the Lord at that time, God told Solomon he could ask for whatever he wished. Being probably still a teenager, he wondered how he could govern his nation well. His request for wisdom to govern was pleasing to God, because it was not selfish, but considered the welfare of God’s people. God gave him what he asked for, and Solomon became internationally famous for knowing how to discern and deal wisely with all situations that occur in day-to-day life. And so the Book of Proverbs contains many sayings coined by Solomon. They help people make sound decisions and good judgments based on godly knowledge, regarding all areas of daily life. They cover families, work, business, neighbours, self-discipline, conversations, personal relationships, moral judgments and many others. They are the practical application of spiritual principles to everyday life. Solomon’s contribution to the Book of Proverbs came in his middle age, after he had had experience of life. Worldly and politically wise though he was, sadly, his vast practical wisdom did not extend to the choices he made on a personal level. His grave error was to ignore the Word of the Lord to kings in Deuteronomy 17:17 – ‘He must not take many wives or his heart will be led astray.’ By taking many wives from the nations around Israel, presumably (for the most part) to seal peace agreements with those nations, he found himself surrounded - and led astray - by women who wanted to worship their own national deities. By giving in to their demands, he not only found his own life compromised, but set a bad example to the nation, from which it never recovered. After his death, the kingdom of Israel quickly split in two - with long-term disastrous spiritual results. When it comes to the Word of God, we always have to live it out in our day-to-day practical lives. Compromise always leads to defeat and failure. Solomon would have done well to follow his own words of advice regarding the words of God: ‘Do not let them out of Your sight, keep them in Your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to a man’s whole body’ (Proverbs 4:22). This month, we pray for God’s Word to be lived out in our daily, practical lives.

1

Proverbs 10:1 Parents and children 1. Lord, we pray that each of the children in the church would grow up learning how to walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. 2. We pray You would make all our Youth to be strong and able to resist the pressures from the world to conform to its ways. 3. Lord, give all the parents in the church the strength and wisdom, patience and love that will enable them to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. 4. Give all who lead and work in our Youth ministries the wisdom and anointing to help mentor our Young people in a godly direction. 5. Cause all who lead and teach in our Children’s ministries to bring a godly influence that finds root in the children’s lives and bears the fruit of righteousness. Proverbs 10:2 Integrity 1. Make us to be a people of utter integrity, who always choose to do the right thing - even when that is the hardest choice. 2. Forgive us, Lord, when we have chosen the path that brings us gain, even though it has not been a righteous choice; may we learn to do things differently in future.

2

3. Teach us, O Lord, that righteousness is of far greater value than ill-gotten treasures. 4. Bless Your people as they work in their jobs and in their businesses, and prosper them materially according to their righteousness no matter what the economic climate. 5. Help us always to seek first Your kingdom and its righteousness, so we can learn from experience that You will then add to us all the things we need in life. Proverbs 10:3 Help in time of need 1. As we bring before You today all our material needs, provide for us, we pray. 2. As we bring all our spiritual needs before You today, meet those needs, and help us grow spiritually, we ask. 3. As we bring before You today all our emotional needs, Lord, You know all about our every thought, and we ask You to provide for us. 4. As we pray for all we know, who are struggling financially, meet their needs, O God. 5. If it is within our ability, put upon our hearts, Holy Spirit, any person You want us to bless with a practical or financial gift today. Proverbs 10:4-5 Hard work and diligence 1. Lord, forgive any lazy streak that may

3

4

lie within us, banish it completely and enable us to be a people who work hard and are fruitful in all we do. 2. Help us to be diligent and hardworking employees, who work not just for our employers, but who do everything as unto the Lord. 3. Motivate us, Holy Spirit, so that we are hard-working in our spiritual and devotional lives, both in our Bible reading and prayer life. 4. Lord, may we not be neglectful of our ministry and our service to You, but rather to work hard and to understand the eternal value of everything we do in Your Name. 5. May our diligent hands bring wealth that is both material and spiritual, and be a blessing to You and Your work, O Lord, and to others. Proverbs 10:6-7 A good testimony 1. Help us at all times to maintain a good testimony that will cause You to feel blessed, O Lord. 2. For each of us, may the blessing of knowing we are doing what is right before God in every situation be its own reward. 3. Whatever other qualities, gifts and abilities we have, may we be known, above all, as ones who are like Jesus in all we do.

As we pray for all the single men in the church, help them to grow spiritually at the same time as prospering in every other area of life. 5. May all our men and women in the church be known for their noble characters and wisdom, we pray. Proverbs 12:9-12 No need for airs and graces 1. Cause us to remember, Lord, that our true value comes from our relationship with You, not from what we own. 2. Cause us to remember, O God, that

true greatness is shown, not through an overbearing attitude but through servanthood. 3. Teach us to be like You, Lord Jesus, that though the Son of God, You came as a servant King. 4. May we be transparently sincere, O God. 5. Help us not to boast in our achievements or possessions, but only in the Cross of Christ. Proverbs 12:13-16 Anger and insults 1. Give us the grace to overlook petty offences, being quick to forgive and slow to anger. 2. Help us to get angry only over sin, injustice and unrighteousness, rather than over hurt to our pride. 3. Since patience is part of the fruit of the Spirit, help us to develop strongly in that virtue. 4. When we are insulted, rebuffed or mocked for our stand for Christ, give us the grace not to respond or retaliate with anything but love and kindness. 5. Lord, stir our spirits to get angry over the sin and godlessness in our nation, which will motivate us to earnest prayer and evangelism. Proverbs 12:17-24 Laziness 1. Lord, You have created us to be occupied with work and service, so keep us from idleness and laziness, we pray. 2. Help us not to be lazy in our attitude towards You, O God. 3. Lord, help us not to be lazy in our witnessing for Jesus. 4. Lord, help us not to be lazy in our service and ministry in the church, but to be active and effective. 5. Lord, help us not to be lazy in our secular employment, but always to be model employees, faithful and diligent. Proverbs 12:25-28 Anxious hearts 1. Lord, let Your peace, which passes all understanding, fill our hearts and minds. 2. As we pray for all in the church who are anxious about family matters, help them and ease their fears, O Lord. 3. As we pray for all in the church who are anxious because of employment concerns, meet their needs and bless them abundantly as they seek You, O Lord. 4. As we pray for all those in the church who are anxious because of health concerns, whether mental or physical, heal them, O Lord. 5. Lord, be our strong tower in any and every situation, and enable us to be strong in the Lord at all times.

5. Holy Spirit, continue to work within us to keep our minds and hearts focused on the ways, values and commands of God. Psalm 119:65-72 Good judgment 1. Lord, enable us to be as wise as serpents, yet as gentle as doves. 2. As Solomon asked for the ability to make wise and sound judgments, give us also the discernment to make wise and godly choices in every aspect of our daily lives. 3. Since sound judgment is made by basing our decisions according to Your Word, bring Scriptures to our remembrance, as we need to make significant choices. 4. Keep us from backsliding, because when we do we will make wrong choices and then have to suffer the consequences. 5. Give us the grace to always make the right choices, even when that draws criticism from the unsaved. Psalm 119:73-77 Our life a witness for God 1. Cause us to remember that we are ambassadors for the King of kings, and to be ‘on duty’ at all times. 2. Cause the unsaved to seek out our counsel, in our workplace or other places, so that we may direct them in the pathways of God. 3. Help each of us to grow in wisdom and maturity, so that we are able to help, guide and direct those who are new or young in the faith. 4. May we live so close to You, O Lord, that at any part of the day we can know You guiding us to speak to people whose hearts are open to the Gospel. 5. Help us to walk in all the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Psalm 119:78-80 Handling persecution 1. Lord, help us to stand firm in our faith, even under the most difficult circumstances. 2. We pray for those who persecute us, and release them from all resentment and anger, forgiving them now. 3. Give strength and grace to Christians in lands where they are in such difficult times of trial, being tortured, imprisoned and killed, simply for following Jesus. 4. Cause the Gospel to continue to spread in great power and effectiveness in the underground churches across those countries where there is great persecution. 5. For all Christians in our country, who are losing their jobs or being persecuted for their faith in Christ, cause their circumstances to turned around for good.

PRAYER DIARY 5. Send revival in the church, so that at every service, whether Sunday or midweek, people are saved, healed and lives transformed. Psalm 119: 121-125 Ensure Your servant’s wellbeing 1. As we continually pray for the needs of others, just now we bring our own personal needs before You, asking You meet our needs this day. 2. For those among us who are sick and need healing, touch them now and heal them, O Lord. 3. For those amongst us who are struggling financially at this time, give them the breakthrough they need. 4. For those amongst us who are struggling with relationship problems, bring a breakthrough for them at this time. 5. For those amongst who are struggling spiritually for whatever reason, draw close and minister to them. Psalm 119:126-128 Time for You to act, O Lord 1. Lord, rise up in our nation and turn back the tide of evil sweeping over our land, we cry. 2. Right now cause Your Church up and down the length and breadth of the nation to stop being on the defensive, but to rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit. 3. As evil is sweeping over our nation, raise up Your banner against it, we cry, O God. 4. Infuse Your church with a fresh anointing and power from You, Holy Spirit, to bring change to our communities. 5. Build Your church now in our nation, O Lord, and let not the gates of hell stand against it. Psalm 119:129-135 - Make Your face to shine upon Your servant 1. We pray for Your blessing over our families, O God. 2. We pray for Your blessing over our jobs, businesses and careers, O Lord. 3. We pray for Your blessing over all the ministries we exercise in the church and outside the church. 4. We pray for Your blessing over our future, so that we may each find, know and walk in Your perfect destiny for our lives. 5. We pray for Your blessing on our church, Lord Jesus, that You would rise up in power in our midst and always be seen to be the Lord of all we are and all we do. Psalm 119:136 God’s laws not obeyed 1. Forgive Your Church in our nation for not standing up to the sin of the nation, but standing by while

ungodly laws are introduced. 2. Forgive Your Church in our nation for not being aggressively evangelistic, but instead leaving the people ignorant of the Gospel and to die in their sins. 3. Forgive our nation for turning its back on You, thinking it knows better; bring it to its senses. 4. Forgive our nation, and bring it to its senses for turning its back on the family, and promoting alternative lifestyles that break up the foundation of national life. 5. Forgive our nation, and bring it to its senses for systematically breaking the Ten Commandments and enshrining such action in the laws of our land, we cry. Psalm 119:137-139 - Zeal 1. As Jesus was zealous for the things of God, give us a zeal and a passion to live for Jesus. 2. Give us a zeal to win the lost for Christ. 3. Give us a zeal to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 4. Give us a zeal to want to change our nation and the communities we live and work in. 5. Give us a zeal to fulfil the Great Commission to go into all the world, preach the Gospel, make disciples, heal the sick and cast out demons. Psalm 119:140-144 Trouble and distress 1. Since You have promised that we will have trouble in this lifetime, cause us to remember that You have overcome the world, and are with us to the end of the age. 2. As we pray for all the widows and widowers in the church, O Lord, draw near and comfort them. 3. As we pray for all the single parents in the church, help and strengthen them in all that they need to do. 4. For all the parents in the church, who are having difficulties with their children, give them patience and wisdom as they seek to raise their children in God’s ways. 5. For all those in the church who are seeking a husband or wife, but have not yet found the right person, guide and lead them to the one You have chosen for them. Psalm 19:145-152 Effective prayer 1. Give us the self-discipline to ensure we spend time regularly with You in prayer, whether in the early morning, daytime or at night. 2. Teach us to pray with a faith that causes our prayers to be powerful and effective. 3. We bring all the prayer ministries in the church before You, O Lord,

and ask for an increasing anointing to see many miracles and answers to prayer. 4. We pray for all our meetings in church or in homes, that the miraculous - in all its forms - will become increasingly seen. 5. As we continue to regularly pray, may we see an open heaven over the church that banishes all opposition from the powers of darkness, and causes the church to flourish. Psalm 119:153-160 More prayer for the unsaved 1. O God of compassion, have mercy on the lost, and enable us to bring many to Christ. 2. Give us divine appointments to be able to witness to the unsaved just at the time they are ready to hear and receive the Gospel. 3. In addition to those invited to the church, draw people to the church by Your Holy Spirit, so that they may be saved. 4. Raise up more Christians in positions of authority and power throughout our nation, O Lord, and through them bring change to this nation. 5. Raise up more Christians to work in the Media, and bring back godly values in those places, O God. Psalm 119:161-168 Praying for rulers 1. As we pray for our Queen and thank You for her life and her trust in You, preserve her life for a long time, O Lord. 2. As we pray for the heir to the throne, endow him with a godly wisdom, and let him see the importance of walking closely in the fear of the Lord. 3. We pray that our government will choose to govern out of a sense of what is right before God, and not simply to chase votes. 4. We pray for all the political parties to see the wisdom of following God’s ways, and the folly of following a humanistic approach to life. 5. Raise up many more Christians to work in all aspects of politics and in all the political parties that they may bring a godly influence and change. Psalm 119:169-176 Overflowing praise to God 1. Lord, we praise and thank You that no matter what happens on this earth, You remain firmly in control and will have the last word. 2. We thank You for Jesus and the salvation and eternal life we have received through Him. 3. We thank You for every prayer You have answered and for the great encouragement we have received from testimonies to answered prayer. 4. We thank You, God, for every miracle we see of salvation, healing and lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. 5. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift of Jesus Christ!

BELIEFS & MEETINGS

Note from the Treasurer Giving to

Missions work?

G

iving to missions glorifies God. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:1-6 is a commandment by Jesus to all believers to “Go and make disciples of all nations”. Whilst some of us cannot obey this commandment physically, we are all encouraged to do so by giving to missions work. Your giving enables the people who are willing to go - but are constrained by finances - to take up the call to bring the Gospel to the whole world. In the book of Philippians 1:4-5, Paul says: “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now.” There is great benefit in partnering with missions work: 1. Partnering with missionaries advances the work of the Kingdom quickly (Philippians 4:1012) 2. Partnering with missionaries encourages them in the challenges and afflictions they face, as they take the Gospel to a dark world (Philippians 4:15-16) 3. Partnering with missionaries means you share in the rewards of spreading the Gospel to the whole world (Philippians 4:17) Think of the missionaries ECC has sent out to Nepal, Cebu and Nigeria today. As well as praying for them, do consider giving towards their calling, and watch how God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

WHAT WE BELIEVE 1. THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible, as originally given, to be without error, the fully inspired and infallible Word of God and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. 2. THE TRINITY: We believe that the Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these Three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption. 3. THE SAVIOUR: We believe in the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His real and complete humanity, in His sinless life, in His authoritative teaching, in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession and His second advent to receive His Church. 4. THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit Who proceeds from the Father and the Son and the necessity of His work in conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification, and that the believer is also promised an enduement of power as the gift of Christ through the baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs following. Through this enduement the believer is empowered for fuller participation in the ministry of the Church, its worship, evangelism and service. 5. MANKIND: We believe in the universal sinfulness of all mankind since the Fall, rendering man subject to God's wrath and condemnation. 6. SALVATION: We believe in the necessity for salvation of repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous in God's sight. This justification is imputed by the grace of God because of the atoning work of Christ, is received by faith alone and is evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit and a holy life. 7. THE CHURCH: We believe in the spiritual unity and the priesthood of all believers in Christ and that these comprise the universal Church, the Body of Christ. 8. THE MINISTRY: We believe in the ministries that Christ has set in His Church, namely, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, and in the present operation of the manifold Gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the New Testament. 9. THE ORDINANCES: We believe in the baptism of believers in water in obedience to the command of Christ and the commemoration of Christ's death by the observance of the Lord's Supper until His return. 10. THE COMMISSION: We believe that the Gospel embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the Gospel to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical needs of mankind. 11. THE COMING KING: We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory. 12. THE FUTURE STATE: We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgment of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous and the eternal conscious punishment of the wicked.

MEN’S DISCIPLESHIP

Run the Race

A

fter months of inactivity, I finally decided it was time for me to get back into shape. For months I had been telling myself that I would go to the gym (after becoming one of those people who have a gym membership but not going), so I ventured to put on my running shoes and hit the streets of West Drayton. Three times a week for the past two months I have been pulling those shoes on (even on holiday!) and running. There is a difference this time to every other time that I had vowed to get into shape. Before I pulled on my running shoes two months ago, I’d signed up for the Great North Run. 13.1 miles! 21 kilometres! Madness! On my first run, I ran for a whole 90 seconds before I thought I was going to pass out. I knew that in order for me to continue running every week, I would have to set a goal. Therefore, the knowledge that I would be running 13 miles in a couple of months made sure that on the days I felt like running and the days that I didn’t, I still did.

that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” Paul tells us to run in such a way as to get a prize, to understand that there is a reason why we put all these disciplines into place. Today, maybe some of you are running aimlessly, wondering why you are putting all this effort in. Maybe you need to be reminded of the prize that awaits everyone who finishes the race, that they will receive a prize far beyond anything they could imagine. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 says: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.”

With our walk with Jesus, there are spiritual disciplines we should be doing regularly. In his book, Celebration of Discipline, Richard Foster separates the disciplines we should be practising as Christians into three categories: inward, outward and cooperate. The Inward disciplines are meditating, prayer, fasting and studying. The Outward disciplines are simplicity, submission, solitude and service, and finally the Cooperate disciplines of confession, worship, guidance and celebration.

Remember, keep on running. On the days when it is wet and cold, on the days that you’re tired, on the days when you don’t think you can run another step. Just remember that every step is a step closer to the goal. A step closer to that crown of righteousness. Maybe you’ve never tried some of the disciplines Richard Foster suggests. Why don’t you pick one this month, begin to do it regularly in your life, and see what change it will bring?

As I look at the list that Foster has put together, there are some that come quite easily to me, and there are others where I would struggle. If we are to look at the subject of prayer, there are some days when I feel like I am in the throne room of heaven, and others when I feel like I’m shouting at the air. However, discipline tells me that no matter how I am feeling, I continue to put it into practice. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown

WOMEN’S DISCIPLESHIP

I

have been a Discipleship Cell leader for the last eight months. My great motivation is to be part of what God is doing in His body at ECC, to connect with ladies in the church; to build them up in the Lord, and to help them release their potential for the Lord.

Motivated to be a Discipleship Cell leader by Monica Gakuo

My group is quite dynamic, and a belief in miracles, which is expressed frequently. Being a Discipleship Cell leader has greatly helped me to strengthen my own personal walk with the Lord. Preparing icebreakers when the ladies first come to the meeting, worship, prayers and reviewing the Word before and during the meeting all help to strengthen my own faith for making personal decisions. We endeavour to make good use of the time, addressing any urgent needs that may require our prayers. The ladies in my Cell attend the meetings consistently, every week, and some of their positive comments have encouraged us all greatly: One lady said that she always looks forward to meet with the others. She feels revived and renewed after fellowshipping with them. Another lady mentioned that it so reassuring and comforting after a hectic day to be with other likeminded sisters and to share with the group. Due to work commitments, another lady is unable to attend church most Sundays, and she says attending a Discipleship Cell, where we go through the message outline that was preached the previous Sunday, has helped her a lot, as well as the worship and prayers that take place. Still another said that the Discipleship Cell makes her feel like part of a family where her needs are prayed for without hesitation. She is able to talk about her concerns,

and listening to others sharing their testimonies inspires her in her Christian walk. Many of them agree that we are getting to know each other well, and so are able to relate with each other in deeper, more meaningful way. One challenge I face is that at times there is low attendance due to various commitments the ladies have, but I’ve learnt to accept that even if it is just one lady attending, God always ministers to us in a special and personal way. Going through the sermon outline from the Sunday message enhances God’s Word in our minds, helps us to remember it better, and therefore makes it easier for us to implement the Word. If there is a difference of opinion during discussions, we endeavour to stay on track. Discussing the word helps us develop our understanding in areas where we may not have understood before. This in turn builds solid faith in us, based on the Word of God. I make an effort to be a role model by remaining consistent in my attendance as much as I can. Praying for the ladies individually helps me to surrender all to Jesus, and being a good listener helps me to keep things on track in order to maximise our time during discipleship time. We are currently looking forward to ways of encouraging more ladies to join our Cell, and are having more social events. So far we have had interesting group events, like skin care demonstration and meals out together. The last event was a baby shower for one of our Cell members, which was wonderful. We try looking for ways to make our Cell even more interesting and supportive to those who are already committed to attending. I look forward to great things the Lord will reveal to our group in time to come.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Obedience > Perfection

I

n February, we took 45 of our young people to laser tag before attending Limitless One, a regional youth event run by Elim. I naively didn’t anticipate so many of our young people would sign up, and was pleasantly surprised to see the level of excitement our young people had about not only attending but also inviting their friends. We decided to split the groups up so that we’d arrive on time. My group was the first to leave, but we took the wrong train and arrived 40 mins later then the other groups and nearly missed our laser tag spot. Thus began a string of events that meant we arrived at Limitless One just as it began, instead of the arriving early as I had planned. As we walked through the door, I clearly looked tired and flustered because one of the helpers came over to me, told me to take a moment for myself, and she’d help get the young people organised and checked in. I looked at her and, without even thinking, said: “I wish I was one of those leaders who effortlessly handles unforeseen hurdles without looking so flustered!” She looked back at me, placed a hand on my shoulder, and replied: “Vanessa, you’re exactly the kind of leader you need to be right now, and God recognises your obedience to show up, flustered and all.” And, in that moment, something clicked. It’s as if the hamster wheel I’d been tirelessly running on had stopped and, for the first time in years, I could catch my breath. Somewhere along the way I’d believed the lie that I needed to be this photo-ready perfect leader, who never stressed, never doubted, but instead made everything look easy as I lived out God’s will for my life. This lie had burdened and shackled me, stealing any joy from my victories, and

illuminating my mistakes. I was reminded then and there that God is not seeking for our lives to look effortless and perfect, but instead longs for simple obedience, even when it looks messy. He longs for a heart that is so focused on His will that it puts aside its own desires and comfort for the sake of the cross. That day, I felt spent and tired because I was out of my comfort zone, but watching 45 of our young people worship with 300 other young people from across our region reminded me that I was a product of obedience. My youth leaders had selflessly invested in my life when I was a teenager, and it was now my turn to do the same. I wasn’t instructed to be a perfect and flawless leader but, instead, to run the race set before me. I needed to build upon the legacy those before me had left, so that our young people would not only know and love the living God, but also be equipped to stand their ground in the face of adversity, remembering the promises placed upon them. They needed to reflect God’s grace and sovereignty so that others might come to know Jesus through interacting with them. So, this month, I pray that your focus would be on God’s sovereignty over your flaws, and that you would begin to see how that frees us up to walk out God’s will, without the burden of perfection the enemy seeks to shackle us with.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Kids’ Club Children’s Ministry at ECC is conducted in a way where we attempt to teach our children biblical principles in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. So, over the Easter break, we ran a Kids’ Club on the Wednesdays. We had approx 25 kids attend each day, and they had an enjoyable time. During the first week, they learnt the Fruit of the Spirit, as in Galatians 5:22-23, and the second week they learned about ‘Empty is a good thing’ in reference to the Empty Grave. They played games and had a quiz, as well as worked on some craft activities that all taught the lessons in a practical and fun way. The kids enjoyed themselves and were there bright and early at the start of each day, ready for the fun. Here is some of their feedback ... I really enjoyed Kids’ Club this year, because I learned about the Bible, like the Fruit of the Spirit, and it encouraged me to read the Bible. – Keyla, 9

I liked the game we played; it was fun. We made a cake which was fun, too. I liked seeing everyonee having a good time. – Maddison, 10

I enjoyed Kids’ Club because we learnt more about the Bible, and got to play fun games. The crafts we did were fun and interesting. The food was delicious. Overall, I liked Kids’ Club. – Jaasiel, 10

Thank you for Kids’ Club. I have enjoyed learning here. Thank you for the activities, food and games. Thank you! David E, 9

I really enjoyed Kids’ Club, because we did so many fun activities and had yummy food. It was really fun, like playing with my friends. Also exploring the nine Fruit of the Spirit. – Rishona, 10

BAPTISMAL SPECIAL

ANOTHER BAPT

T

hose who were baptised in water recently were following the command that Jesus gave: to be baptised once they had given their lives to Him (Matthew 28:18-20). It was our second baptismal service this year, having baptised at least around 30 candidates at the last one in January. Excitement was everywhere amongst those who came to watch their family and friends and those who were being baptised, both newly saved and others. Powerful testimonies were shared. A short gospel message was preached, and what a delight to see those responding to the gospel appeal at the end. For those who have surrendered their lives to Christ, baptism in water symbolises uniting with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection; putting to death our old way of life and instead now living the new resurrection life Jesus enables us to have (Romans 6:1-6). The candidates were encouraged to keep running the race heavenwards, even when tough times come along our way and cause us to fall. Jesus has given us a brand new life, so let us live it to the full. Pastor Rajinder Buxton

Tamieka ABONGA “I felt like a misfit, drinking with friends since the age of 15 - just to have a sense of fulfilment. Two girls gave me a tract from ECC for a church event. I came to it and gave my life to Jesus. Today I feel Jesus’ love and understand His grace, and I love enjoying freedom in Jesus from anxiety and heaviness.”

Also baptised on the night were husband and wife Andrew & Sonia WALLACE 30

Samson FESSEHAYE “The reason why I am getting baptised is because I love the Lord Jesus, and I want Him to teach me to walk in the spirit to know Him intimately.”

Larrissa HEATH “I have always known Jesus, but in my teens I backslid and became distant. As I grew up and left home, partying and wrong relationships brought me no joy, only conviction from the Holy Spirit. I eventually came back to ECC and now my relationship with Jesus is fully restored. He loves me, forgave me my sins, and I have forgiven myself too. He loves me and taught me to love others. “

Yvonne HYATT “After ringing the Prayer Centre at ECC, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. Literally. I told myself I had to see who these people were. Now I am no longer alone, for Jesus handles all my cares for me. I also gave my life to Jesus and experience His love and forgiveness for me.”

Destiny IBRAHIM “I am seven years old and was born into a Christian family. I know I understand what it means to be born again, having given my life to Christ. I want to know more about Jesus and the Bible, as I love Him so much. I always tell my friends about Jesus, and some have believed and enjoy the stories I tell them, and want to come to church.”
