Enriching the quality of life through recreation, education & preservation.

Executive Director’s Letter Dear Bourbonnais Township Park District Residents:

As we say goodbye to summer, we get ready to say hello to the m Parkost exciting time of the year

Winter is a beautiful sight to behold at Perry Farm Park. I especially love the first snowfall of the season. The snow at the farm is so white and the only disturbance seen for miles is the animal tracks of the wildlife in our park. I invite you to an early morning hike to experience nature at its purest here in the heart of our wonderful community. Thank you for all the positive comments on the changes we have made to the program book. It is a work in progress and my staff is hard at work making further improvements. Our goal is ease of use for our patrons and to offer quality programming that fits your needs and today’s lifestyle! Hollice Clark III The winter months provide some unique and exciting events for our community. Executive Director We are in the 2nd year of the popular event at the Exploration Station with Frosty Express. We have expanded it to encompass the whole weekend. In fact, the first two weekends in December are full of fun holiday activities for the kids in your life. Check it out! If this winter proves to be anything like last year, there will plenty of opportunity for cross country skiing at Perry Farm Park! Anytime there are 4 or more inches of snow we offer ski rental at the farmhouse. What a perfect way to stay in shape this winter and get outside! Look for new and exciting changes at our 10th Annual Wine Tasting event in February. This great event has continued to grow each year. Stay tuned for new developments! As always, we offer a variety of sports available through park district programming. Check out all the choices and get involved. Sports activities are not only for the youth, but also for the young at heart! If you have any questions concerning programs, facilities, or general park district questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Hollice@btpd.org or call me at 815-933-9905.
