When we decided to start this magazine, people said we were crazy. "Magazines are dead," everyone said, and we agree. The old standard of magazine publishing is dead because today's woman is smart, savvy and can read between the lines. They know when the advice given is masked as editorial content but really comes from a key advertiser. They know when a story has been recycled and regurgitated 50 times in 50 different ways. Newsstands are filled with magazines that are designed to line the pockets of the suits and investors, who are mostly men. When
online media companies and blogs began to pop up women flocked to this "new media" with fervor and excitement and let's face it, we all get a good bit of news, fashion tips and other lifestyle material from online resources. However, in the last few years the volume of online media content has become completely overwhelming and we felt it was time to get back to basics in a totally modern, fresh and future seeking way. So, we created Nicole Magazine to give women something to read cover-to-cover with real, engaging fresh content. Think of us

We first heard of your pregnancy on Instagram. What prompted you to make your baby announcement on social media? To be honest, I think that it’s [being pregnant] the most special and blessed thing that ever happened to me and I was really wanting to share that with the public and with my fans in the most genuine sincere and private way. Being in the public eye and having to go out and be visible, there were moments when I was definitely showing and I wasn’t prepared to share that very private and important part of my life just yet with the public and the media. I feel like in entertainment sometimes media take the most private and beautiful things and turn them into gossip and this is just one of those things I didn’t want for the reveal of my first child. I had a song from my album called “I Want It All” and I shot a video for it and I wanted to share the song and the reveal of the pregnancy together… I wanted it to come from me as a personal letter and presentation from me to my fans. And I couldn’t have asked for it to go over any better; everyone was so positive.
So both you and your love Jared are singers. Are you hoping that some of that talent is going to be passed onto your child? I hope so. I never even really think about it, but everyone keeps saying “That’s going to be one singing kid”. But you know we both are musical and our parents are musicians and they love music as well. I think the kid is in for a musical future somehow.
