inspiration NEAT CHAOS It is the art of organising things and decorate spaces in a chaotic but intelligent way, so that the final look will be an elegant and casual scenario. The House Doctor's 2014 "Moments" catalog (in this page) is an example of casualchic dĂŠcor: different shapes, different styles and even different chairs complete the overall look.
Every kitchen has its history: the mug your bestfriend gave you, the sugar bowl you stole from your grandma's, your findings at the charity shops... Diversity is what really makes the difference and it's time to show it up. Being brave and creative with the disposition of the objects in a kitchen can give a new look to the entire room. Tips and tricks: you can really show anything on your shelves but it has to have a common guideline, for example the color (as in the picture) .
Finding a guideline or a theme you can follow is really useful, it can be also a pattern -like triangles and geometrical pattern (picture above)- or just details, like the beige leather pieces in the second picture. Tips and tricks: bust the look with a green touch - a plant is decorative and "refreshing" for the eye.
Layering two different materials (first picture) creates a deep contrast that looks casual at the first sight, but hides a deep and smart solution: without the marble piece in the middle, the two wooden cutting boards would be boring. Plus, the full-colored details attract on themselves most of the attention. Tips and tricks: shiny objects (second pitcture) can also catch the attention, distracting the observer from all the different shapes and material that coexist on the same shelf. The same effect can be achieved if playing with the same texture.

From ancient times marble has always been a symbol of extreme elegance, prestige and luxury. It now has mantained his charm, but has become more "down to heart", thanks to the most important design brands, who decided to bring it back in affordable home accesories. Its fascinating and minimalist pattern gives its best in b&w interiors, but also if matched with delicate and pastel colors. Find out how-to have your own marble table for less in the next page!
