BOCCIA
Introduction Boccia is a Paralympic sport for athletes with disabilities. It is a target ball sport belonging to the same family as petanque and bowls.
Boccia is very versatile and can be played in a school hall, community hall or a sports hall. Both able bodied and disabled players can play alongside each other. This game, usually played in teams, relies on the skill and subtlety of the player rather than size, speed and strength. Boccia balls are propelled (rolled, thrown or kicked) towards a jack ball.
