Many activities are free of charge or low cost and many have facilities for children with additional needs and disabilities. Use the symbols opposite to decide which activity and provider might be best for your needs. A Rocha Living Waterways

A Canal Experience on the Floating Classroom A Rocha Living Waterways works closely with Groundwork Thames who manage the canal boat Elsdale 2. Following an introduction to canal history and safety we will learn about canals through art and craft activities. Then we will celebrate the many creatures that use the canal and stop to observe minibeasts in a meadow on the way. Short Breaks for Children with Additional Needs and Disabilities Ealing funds a number of short break activity providers over the summer holiday period to ensure children, young people and families living with additional needs and disabilities have the opportunity to participate in fun, exciting, challenging activities. Story Lab, Drama and Magic at Your Local Library Story Lab Summer Reading Challenge for 4–11s Your chance to win a gold medal The Summer Reading Challenge, for children aged 4 to 11 years, aims to inspire children to read for pleasure during the summer holiday. This year’s theme is Story Lab. Children who sign up to the free challenge will receive a model story laboratory, a small prize and stickers for each of the six books that they read as part of the scheme. Children who complete the challenge will also be awarded a certificate and a gold medal.

Drama Workshops and Magic Shows Ealing Libraries have invited Freshwater Theatre to offer three themed drama workshops for different age groups in libraries across the borough this summer.
