April 2005. Nida-Core Corp. is proud to introduce Nida-Core H8PP with Twintex grid for applications that need increased rigidity for thinner grades. Composed of a layer of copolymer structural honeycomb, barrier film to reduce resin consumption, Twintex fiber grid and polyester scrim cloth for 100% bonding surface, the Twintex grid Nida-Core is especially suitable for solid surfacing applications as well as thin grade veneer (like 1.5 mm Okoume) stabilized applications. TWINTEX® R PP is a roving composed of commingled E-glass and polypropylene filaments. Consolidation is done by heating the roving above the melting temperature of PP matrix and applying a pressure: 180°C –230°C.

Our employees
In 1867, E.V. White the Chief Engineer of the C.S.N. Virginia (formerly U.S.S. Meremack), founded the E.V. White Company, a supply house of marine supplies and equipment. Following his death (circa 1920), his heirs continued the business until William McCormick Paxton purchased the inventory of the E.V. White Company for $9,000 and commenced operations under the name of Crichton-Paxton. The business was located on Commercial Place in downtown Norfolk with three employees. Two years later, the business, now renamed Paxton Company moved to the corner of Water Street and Commercial Place. Paxton Company continued to grow and expand with subsequent locations at 407 Union Street and 1019 East Main Street. In 1968, Paxton Company moved to its present location in Norfolk's Industrial Park. To service the boating needs in the upper Chesapeake Bay, a showroom and sales center was later acquired which operates as Outfitters/ USA Services, Inc. also in Annapolis. Founded in 1981 their commercial hulls were the choice for people earning part or all of their living on the sea. Today, they still produce for the commercial user but cater to the pleasure boater who is looking for some of the same features. Tough, self bailing, dependable and low maintenance are a few of the features Eastern Boat provides. Eastern Boats utilize the latest technologies in the fiberglass field. The use of knitted fabrics, Matline Laminate Bulker and Nida-Core Structural honeycomb are just a few. The construction consists of glassing together hull and deck, encapsulated stringers and bulkheads, and the use of pressure treated lumber whenever they can't encapsulate the glass to insure your boat will be around for a long time. They can be reached in New Hampshire at 603-652-9213.
