Welcome to your KIDS NIGHT IN! During your date tonight you will be teaching your little one all about the 5 senses while having fun and munching on popcorn.
To get started, read the book The Popcorn Shop by Alice Low, in preparation for your popcorn making. Now its time to take your box and all its contents and head into the kitchen! 1. Start out your night by decorating your chefs hats! Snap a picture and share it using the hashtag #kidsNightInBox & #DateNightInBox 2. Get out your My Five Senses & Popcorn Mini Cards in the kitchen. 3. Have your little one help you pop some popcorn so they can observe how popcorn sounds when you make it. 4. Grab your included bags and pour some popcorn in them. Use your mini cards to talk about their five senses. Encourage them to smell the popcorn, touch the popcorn, hold the popcorn and taste the popcorn. 5. Invite your little one to observe the popcorn while filling in the blanks on the cards… “The popcorn sounds ________________”, etc. Have your little one help you read and write if possible! Also, use the included crayons to add some additional color to the book by coloring the borders on the pages or the popcorn. 6.
