Treasure Map Quesadilla

Red food coloring

Black edible food writer pen

DIRE CTIONS Chop the yellow pepper into fine pieces and set aside. Then cut the top and bottom off of the spring onions and chop up the remaining onion into fine pieces. Slice the ham into small pieces. Place one of the tortillas in a dry frying pan. Spread the pesto evenly over the tortilla, then sprinkle on the pepper, onion, and ham pieces. Cover the tortilla in a generous amount of grated cheese, making sure to cover the whole tortilla. Place the second tortilla on top! Fry the tortilla for a few minutes until the bottom is lightly golden. Once the bottom is cooked, carefully flip the quesadilla over in the pan to cook the other side. Cook for a few more minutes until the cheese has melted and the quesadilla looks cooked! Then carefully slide the quesadilla from the pan to a plate. Allow a few minutes for the quesadilla to cool.


Using the red food coloring and a clean paint brush, paint an X anywhere on the quesadilla. With the black edible food writer pen, sketch out a treasure map over the rest of the quesadilla. Once the map is finished and all the food coloring has dried, slice the map into fourths. Then, admire your work, eat, and enjoy!
