PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES TOTAL TIME: 35-65 MINUTES
Ingredients • • • • • • • •
1/2 cup of whipped cream cheese 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar spreadable cheese (pub cheese) 1 cup of shredded sharp cheese 2 bell peppers, sliced (stem saved for the top of the pumpkin) Crackers Pretzels Carrots Cucumbers, sliced
Directions Alright little monsters, let’s get cooking! In a large bowl, combine the gooey cream cheese, pub cheese and shredded cheese with a spatula (let your child help mix the cheeses). Lay a piece of plastic wrap on a hard surface and scoop the cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap. Using your hands (have your kiddo help too!) slowly cover the cheese mixture and form a ball. Place it in the fridge to harden for 30 minutes to an hour. While the cheese ball is in the fridge, cut the stem from one of the peppers and set aside. You’ll use this as the stem of the pumpkin. Prepare the rest of the snacks, and have your little one help you place the snacks on your serving dish. After the pumpkin cheese ball has hardened, place it on the serving dish and add the pepper stem to the top. Enjoy!
Night Menu Hi, friends! I’m Marina from marinamakesblog.com. Halloween is all about the treats, and I’ve put together some BOO-tiful foods to get you in the spirit! The first is a pumpkin cheeseball that you can enjoy with veggies, crackers, and other fun snacks. My daughter and I had a lot of fun making this recipe together. It’s easy and delicious. I also included my recipe for spooktacular chocolate-covered Oreos. These cute little monsters are the perfect treat to enjoy at home or share with friends. I’d encourage you to involve your kids in the process of cooking whether you have them stir, add food to the pot or bowl, or just taste test. I’ve included specific ways they can help in the directions section. I hope you have fun cooking together! I’d love to see how your spooktacular food turns out, so please feel free to share pictures on social media. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #MarinaMakesEats.
