Miss Daisy Written and illustrated by Toby Hopkins and Jo Lewington

A Bampton Archive Publication BCA-22 / May 2015

Let me tell you about a wonderful little dog…

“Daisy…! “Daisy…!” Where could she be…?

There she is, in the compost heap again. S h e ’s s e a r c h i n g f o r m i c e . N o w o n d e r s h e c o u l d n ’t h e a r.

Can you see her tail?

Normally Daisy is very polite. When she wants to come in from the garden‌

‌she knocks at the door...

…and waits to be asked in.

Daisy is a very useful dog. She checks the cupboards of Jo’s cottage for mice…

‌and even helps chase flies out of the kitchen.

Daisy is a very courageous dog. She protects Jo not only from rats and mice, she also chases away rabbits, squirrels, cats and other dogs.

No wonder Jo Loves her.

Daisy is loved by Helene too‌

‌who sometimes takes her on holiday!

Daisy is also loved by Wendy…

‌who takes her on long, healthy walks.

Daisy is also loved by Toby‌

Who sometimes helps her search for mice in the compost heap.

Daisy’s owner, Jo, has taught her very well so daisy doesn’t need a lead.

Before they cross the road, Jo says, “wait… wait…”

‌and Daisy waits patiently until Jo sees it is safe to cross....

Then one day a very upsetting thing happened‌

She was bruised and badly shaken, and not her normal self at all‌!

She needed sun and Arnica cream to soothe her bruises.

A week later she was much, much better. And before long‌

‌she was up to her old tricks again.
