LOCATION - The sale will be held at Balmoral Park, Halftown Road, Sprucefield, Lisburn, Northern Ireland BT27 5RF

CONDITIONS OF SALE - The Pedigree and Description of each lots and all information as to service sire dates and health are believed to be correct. Sold under the conditions of sale as, recommended by the Livestock Auctioneer’s Association.
METHOD OF SALE - All sheep will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order, unless any alteration is announced by the Auctioneers.
COMMISSIONS - The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commissions to purchase for buyers unable to attend the sale personally, upon receipt of written instructions.
SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK - Settlement in full is due immediately at the close of Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official ‘Pass Slip’, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement.
MAEDI VISNA - All sheep are MV Accredited.
TRANSPORT Sheep purchased for Mainland EU countries will incur a transport fee which will be added to the purchasers account on sale day. Sheep purchased for Mainland UK will not incur any transport costs

It’s hard to believe we are into our Fourth Big Bang sale and is set to be even bigger and better than 2023. Quality and numbers are both up so who knows, maybe more records can be broken in 2024!!
We pride ourselves with organisation, so any sheep needing delivery to central UK can be delivered to Carlisle on the 30th November at the latest, and any sheep purchased from mainland Europe will be in transit within 2/3 days.

The Blackstown Flock was established in 2015 with gimmers purchased from Donbraid, Forkins and Lakeview flocks with emphasis on conformation, good skins, carcass and character. Our flock consists of a small number of ewes with the emphasis on quality not quantity.
The past few years we have sold gimmers to 13,000gns, ewe lambs to 5,000gns and this year 1st Prize aged ewe at Balmoral Show with another aged ewe 1st prize at the National Show
The Blackstown Flock is Scrapie Monitored. All Blackstown females have been vaccinated with Enzovax, Toxovax and Heptavac P.

2024 has been another great year for the Forkins flock
We started with a return to the show ring at Ballymena show with a ram lamb and ewe lamb both winning their classes and a ram lamb winning Reserve Suffolk and Interbreed Ram lamb Champion. At the Lanark sale we took 3 ram lambs and won 2nd in the open class and 2nd In the Commercial class, topping at 5800gns to Birness and Pyeston flocks.
Ballymena 1st Group of 3, 2nd commercial class and 4th prize in the open class, topping at £5000. 15 ram lambs were sold this year to Pedigree breeders to average £2400. A big pleasure is to see our stock go on and do well for others. Top price in Ballymena and Blessington were both out of Forkins females at 11,000gns and €7500. Also £5000, £3600 and £2500 ram lambs out of females sold by us at the Big Bang Sale.
