Hauliers and farmers delivering livestock must disinfect their boots before and after loading or unloading.

Livestock purchased or unsold will not be allowed to move unless an authorised “pass slip” has been issued by the main office.

No livestock will be allowed to remain on the premises after a sale.

Only staff, livestock hauliers, owners or their agents are permitted to load or unload livestock.

LOCATION: The sale will be held in Borderway Mart, Carlisle, Cumbria. Motorists should leave the M6 at Junction 43 and follow ‘Carlisle’ Signs. The Market is on the left hand side of the road within ¼ mile of M6.

CONDITIONS OF SALE: The sale is held under the Livestock Auctioneers Terms & Conditions (LAA). All sheep will be sold in Guineas (105 pence).

The vendors shall be responsible for all faults. The buyer has one hour after the end of the sale to lodge a complaint.

ONLINE BIDDING FACILTY: Online bidding facility will be available via handh.marteye.ie

SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK: Settlement in full is due immediately at the close of sale. No animals may leave the sale premises without an official ‘pass slip’ obtained only from the Auctioneers upon settlement.

The TERMINAL and REPLACEMENT INDEXES reflect the breed’s influence on industry. Both are presented as the poten4al extra profit per lamb born in a commercial seDng, compared to the popula4on average.

The TERMINAL INDEX supports increased proﬁtability through improving prime lambs and is weighted strongly for meat produc4on. The REPLACEMENT INDEX includes addi4onal maternal traits to op4mise produc4on of female replacements.

Commercial producers solely producing prime lambs should use the TERMINAL INDEX to inform their selec4on; however, those retaining female replacements should use the REPLACEMENT INDEX.
