Reflective Journal
Secret Envelop Workshop Uint This publication is a reflection of the learning while doing the tasks and workshops and further development of the task to a final outcome of a series of cards or book or short film. The workshop unit has been very helpful in terms of building beautiful graphics using varied and fun methods and tasks. It added a new perspective to the process of creating artworks without using photographs but creating them.
Reduction & Redundancy Disassemble Semantic Typography Experimental Graphics
Secret Envelop A cropped image of a map and a ticket with a wild card pass was the starting point of the task. It was interesting to use a map for progressively experiment through various processes and effects as it had a lot of details that could be used. I used my wildcard pass to replace the ticket with a newspaper cutting.
Digital Experimentation I cropped down a specific area on the map and broke down the lines into separate images which could be further used other processes. I started with some digital effects like Oil painting, Directional blur which made the text look 3D.

Continuation of the experiments with the digital effects and a series of colour halftones with the increasing size of the pixel.

Experiments with Processes Taking the lines from the maps on to the other mediums and processes. The results were pretty interesting with different textures depending upon the base on which the Lino sheet was pressed.

Patterns The final outcome of this task is swatch cards of patterns. These patterns can printed on daily usable objects like T-shirts, Pillow covers, Mugs, Badges, Phone covers, etc
Reduction & Redundancy Workshop by Geoff Haddon
Can opener made up of steel Reducing the details and maintaining the consistency is a major part of gratification of real life objects. Further repeating or overlapping them to create something marvellous and meaningful.
Experimentation Redrawing the object and experimenting with the colours, layouts, creating patterns, etc. The output is really appealing can create really strong visuals.

Disassemble
The task was to disassemble any object and study the structure of the internal components. The components had to be further developed into graphics using any process and method. Integrated circuits have always compelled me. I disassembled a Nokia RM 1035 phone. Having done the reduction and redundancy workshop, I graphitized the components of the phone like panels, keypad, battery, sim card, memory card, etc and started experimenting with them.
Experimentation
Nokia phone components redrawn graphically. Taking this further, I wanted to assemble the phone in After effects. The final outcome of this task is a video where all the layers of the phone come together and the phone switches on with Nokia ringtone remix in the background.
A series of digital prints created by playing with the CMYK values and overlapping the layers of phone.

Semantic Typography A storyboard of video clips on semantic typography of words used in process involved in Print and Digital Media. I have tried to express the meaning of the words using animation and After effects.

Experimetal Graphics Workshop with Mark Pawson The interesting workshop using random images and creating a 8 page booklet out of it was a different and fun task. I also got a chance to try Risograph printing. The advantages and limitation of the process helped understand the images better colour perspective. It was quick and had great results. Also, it was great working in a randomly selected team.
My groups topic was Eyes. We tried 3 colour – Pink, Yellow, Burgandy Risograph printing. I created a pattern with the skull whicg we used in the background of the inner side.
